100+ OPM Artists, Activities: A Quick Guide to Rakrakan Festival 2023

150 Artists Activities House Rules A Guide to Rakrakan Festival 2023

Dubbed the “Coachella of the Philippines,” Rakrakan Festival is back this year for a two-day celebration of peace, love, and music.

Rakrakan emerged in the local music scene in 2013 and has built a reputation as a powerhouse bringing together a stellar lineup of legendary OPM artists.

As you prepare to embark on this musical journey, be ready for the quirks and charms that come with it, such as the inevitable phone battery drainage, the occasional navigational challenges, and those classic Porta-Potty encounters. Yet, these are all part of the enchantment, right? To ensure that your music festival experience won’t be overwhelming, we’ve put together a quick guide for both first timers and seasoned festgoers.

Artist Lineup, Stages

Enveloped by pulsating music, the strobes of dazzling lights, and the magnetic energy that fills the air (not to mention the glowsticks), this year’s Rakrakan will feature more than 100 artists to perform at the Love, Peace, and Mosh stages.

Expect to be serenaded by the likes of Ely Buendia, Rico Blanco, December Avenue, Kiyo, Sud, Juan Karlos, Adie, Unique, Gracenote, and Orange and Lemons among others.

Programs and Activities

Apart from a series of performances, the main activities at Rakrakan’s grand finale include a food & merch bazaar, cosplay, skate, Sunugan battle, wrestling, car show, and more.

Other activities include firework displays, marching bands, a cleanup drive, street art, freedom walls, and NGO partnerships.

Rakrakan Festival promises an unforgettable experience where music, art, and the spirit of unity come together in an electrifying celebration.
