Otakus Unite! Anime Festival Asia Returns With Big Surprises This November

November will be an exciting month for anime lovers in Singapore, as the annual Anime Festival Asia (AFA) returns to the Lion City with grand surprises to get excited about!

Happening on Nov. 24-26 at Suntec Singapore, AFA2023 will treat otakus with all things J-culture, from music to cosplays! Some of the famous personalities joining the fun are cosplayer and AFA2023 official ambassador Iori More, illustrator Shigure Ui, author Sunsunsun, and voice actresses Ai Kayano, Yumi Uchiyama, and Sumire Uesaka.

Big names in the anime world are also gracing the event, such as animation studio MAPPA’s CEO Manabu Otsuka, “Kakegurui” director Yuichiro Hayashi, and “Anthem of the Heart” screenwriter and anime director Mari Okada.

Artists who will be rocking the AFA2023 stage with their music include NANO, Liyuu, Survive Said the Prophet, Tatsuya Kitani, ASTERISM, FLOW, ASCA, spira spica, Nami Tamaki, and halca.

You can also cop exclusive merchandise from talented creators, such as AkiZero, Sarah Thursday, jazh.mine, and Daiyaku, and meet stars in the cosplay world at the Cosplay Hub, including YingTze, Charess, Kiyo, Ruri, Xiaoyukiko, and many more!

Tickets to AFA2023 are available via Ticketmaster. Prices for exhibition tickets range from S$28 to S$125, while concert passes go from S$158 to S$588. Learn more about the event here.

Held across Asia since 2008, AFA is regarded as Southeast Asia’s biggest Anime, Comics, and Game (ACG) event. In 2022, the event had a record-breaking attendance of 145,000 and was a finalist for the Outstanding Leisure Event category in this year’s Singapore Tourism Awards.
