On August 9, Singapore will commemorate the 58th anniversary of its independence, popularly known as National Day.

The festivities for National Day in the heartlands will begin on Aug. 5-6 at five different sites, and there will be aerial flypasts and colourful fireworks that will take place beyond the city centre on Aug. 9.

The “GetActive! Singapore Heartland Festivals” is a ticketed event. Those interested to attend can do so at the following sites:

  • ActiveSG Bedok Sport Centre – Aug.5-6
  • ActiveSG Jurong West Sport Centre – Aug. 5-6
  • ActiveSG Toa Payoh Sport Centre – Aug. 5-6
  • ActiveSG Woodlands Sport Centre – Aug. 5-6
  • Our Tampines Hub – Aug. 6

Please note that programmes will run between 4 PM-9 PM. For tickets, Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents are eligible to get free electronic tickets, while physical tickets can be picked up at various SAFRA clubs. Unfortunately, as of writing, tickets for the heartland festivals have been fully redeemed.

Apart from the highly anticipated parade, there will be a variety of family-friendly activities to join, including sports tryouts, Kampung games, bouncy castles, community mural painting, snack kiosks, live stage performances, and a lot more.
