Gaggan Bangkok Is Hailed Best Restaurant in Asia in 2024

Following their one-of-a-kind collaboration with luxury brand Louis Vuitton, Gaggan Bangkok has made another milestone by being named this year’s Best Restaurant in Asia.
In the recently concluded awards ceremony in Las Vegas, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants honored 50 of the top restaurants across the globe. This includes Gaggan Bangkok, which also nabbed the ninth spot in the world ranking.
In a social media post, Gaggan’s founder and namesake Gaggan Anand shared his excitement over the win, stating, “Big shout to all the team, friends, and everyone who thought we deserved to be back. We just started to rise from our ashes. So proud to be in the top 10 in the world and the best restaurant in Asia.”
Meanwhile, Barcelona’s Disfrutar was hailed as The World’s Best Restaurant. Atxondo’s Asador Etxebarri, Paris’ Table by Bruno Verjus, Madrid’s Diverxo, Lima’s Maido, New York’s Atomix, Mexico City’s Quintonil, Copenhagen’s Alchemist, Gaggan Bangkok, and Buenos Aires’ Don Julio completed the top 10.
Other Asian restaurants that made it onto the list include Tokyo’s Sézanne, Florilège, and Den; Hong Kong’s new entry Wing and highest climber, The Chairman; Singapore’s Odette; Bangkok’s Le Du, Sühring, and Sorn; and Seoul’s new entry, Mingles.
Earlier this year, Gaggan Bangkok also ranked third at the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants awards (voted for by experts in six regions in Asia), held last March in Seoul, South Korea.
The World’s 50 Best Restaurants is voted for by restaurant experts, chefs, restaurateurs, food writers, and well-traveled gourmets from 27 regions across the globe. Read more about the voting system here or view the full list via its website.
