Learn How to Turn Your Plastic Waste Into Creative Items This Earth Day

In honour of Earth Day, community-based waste management company Precious Plastic will host a fun yet educational activity among people in Thailand.

The company specialises in plastic recycling solutions using easy-to-build machines to turn plastic waste into new products.

On April 22, they will celebrate Earth Day with the Today at Apple activity to unveil “the hidden power of recycled plastic” while promoting environmental sustainability.

Participants may engage in a brainstorming session and have firsthand experience transforming waste like plastic into creative products using the Freeform app on the iPad and Apple Pencil.

The event will kick off from 3 PM-5 PM at Apple Central World. Those interested may register via this link.

What They Do

Precious Plastic is known for its various waste-reduction solutions and initiatives, such as its plastic-eating machines, Caps Fair activity (garbage collection), upcycling workshops, and sustainable accessory-making using upcycled beads, among others.

The company has been involved in the community since 2020 and has been working with seven areas, namely Doi Tung, Ban Amphur, Central Island, Bang Ya Phraek, Mercy Center, Golden Land Community, and Wat Chak Daeng.

Each community aims to establish their own recycling facilities, complete with machines for processing plastic trash, as well as conducting training and seminars to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of plastic waste on the planet and the steps that can be taken to mitigate these negative effects.

Those interested in donating plastic waste may do so by dropping them off at these locations or sending a DM via Facebook for further information.

Apart from plastic donations, you may also shop Precious Plastic’s eco-friendly products like plant pots (THB60-THB500), bowls (THB80-THB140), and laptop stands (THB350), to name a few. Shop here.
