On Aug. 9, Thai social activist-artist Wishulada “Aye” Panthanuvong officially launched her "UOB Waste to Wonder: Turning Trash to Treasured Art" initiative, which featured new upcycled products made from old United Overseas Bank (UOB) staff uniforms converted into bags. The project was first announced in April, along with an art installation named Clothepocalypse.

A total of 4,903 used UOB staff uniforms were repurposed into uniquely designed bags using hems from pants and skirts, shirt collars and pockets, dress liners, buttons, and zippers, ensuring that the entire uniform would be maximised and that nothing would go to waste.

This collaborative effort is part of UOB's sustainability commitment. It is anticipated that it will help reduce emissions by 1,965.3 kilograms of carbon dioxide, which is equivalent to saving 137.646 carbon-absorbing trees.

As of writing, Wishulada’s products are available for purchase in physical stores only at Muse Shop by Museum Siam every Tuesday to Sunday from 10 AM- 6PM. All proceeds will go to the Children's Hospital Foundation to support the Angel Miracle project to buy incubators for premature babies.
