The 27th International Festival of Dance & Music Makes a Grand Comeback

A world-class spectacle is making a grand comeback this September to October 2025.
The 27th International Festival of Dance and Music is happening from Sept. 6 to Oct. 15, 2025, bringing 14 stunning performances from over 10 countries across the globe to the Main Hall of the Thailand Cultural Centre in Bangkok.

Opera legend and one of the Three Tenors, Plácido Domingo, is set to perform in Thailand for the first and only time, headlining an international lineup of performances that promise to redefine the stage.
With a career spanning over 150 operatic roles, more than 4,000 performances, and 12 Grammy wins, Domingo has redefined opera for global audiences and marks a milestone in Thailand’s cultural calendar. He will be joined by captivating American soprano Monica Conesa and groundbreaking Italian conductor Beatrice Venezi in an unforgettable night of operatic brilliance.
Also making its Thai debut is India’s “Mahabharata: 18 Days, Dusk of an Era,” a large-scale theatrical spectacle by the Prabhat Arts International. The epic blends traditional Indian dance and drama with aerial stunts, martial arts, and immersive visuals to present the mythical battle between the Pandavas and Kauravas to life.
From China, the National Ballet of China will be reimagining the classic “Dream of Red Mansions” through Western ballet, transforming the 18th-century literary classic into a performance of love, decline, and dynastic drama.
Opening the second half of the festival is Russia’s Samara Opera & Ballet Theatre with four grand productions: two legendary operas “Tosca” and “Aida,” a new edition of Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker,” and the emotionally charged contemporary ballet “Three Masks of the King,” a dramatic reflection on power, identity, and the courage to embrace one’s true self.
The China National Acrobatic Troupe is set to amaze Thai audiences with gravity-defying stunts and jaw-dropping feats of athleticism, in a performance that celebrates 50 years of Thai-Chinese diplomatic relations. With over 50 acrobats and more than 74 international gold medals, the troupe promises high-octane entertainment with universal appeal.
France’s Pixel brings a fusion of street, hip-hop, rollerblading, and contemporary dance with cutting-edge 3D graphics, projection mapping, and interactive visual effects.
The festival’s eclectic global lineup includes Cuba’s Cuba Vibra!, a celebration of Cuban dance culture; Nocturna from Spain, offering a contemporary tale on flamenco; NINA, a Gatsby-style dance drama; Energy ∞ Infinite, a dynamic percussion performance blending rhythm and movement; and a masterful orchestral show from the Prague Philharmonia, featuring the classical brilliance from George Li of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, rounding out an international showcase of talent and artistry.
