‘Toe to Toe Learning’: Where to Enrol Your Kids for Ballet Classes in Bangkok

Where to Enrol Your Kids for Ballet Classes in Bangkok featured

Ballet is regarded as one of the most important foundations for all dances, including but not limited to jazz, hip-hop, and tap. It gracefully and elegantly trains the dancer’s mental strength, physical posture, social skills, and self-confidence.

If you want to introduce your child to the world of dance, having them take ballet lessons is an excellent way to foster their creativity while also providing them with toe-to-toe training (literally!). If you need any more convincing, check out these classes and courses for future ballerinos and ballerinas in Bangkok.

Dance Centre School of Performing Arts

Founded in 1985, Dance Centre School of Performing Arts believes that “if you can move, you can dance.” Approved and licenced by the Royal Thai Government’s Ministry of Education, this dance studio is one of the kingdom’s “premiere dance [academies]” in ballet, contemporary dance, creative dance, hip-hop, Latin and ballroom.

Led by professional teachers-slash-performers, they teach different kinds of dance and movements or styles to kids, teenagers, adult beginners, and even professional dancers.

For those with children aged four years old and below, you can enrol your child in the pre-ballet courses. In this course, they are expected to develop awareness of their own body and learn to control their movements and creative presence in every session. This course serves as a preparation for kids to understand basic ballet exercises and vocabulary. The Classical ballet (based on British and Russian styles) course, on the other hand, is suitable for students in grades one to five.

In this class, they will be taught ballet techniques by studying stylised movements and positions until they build a solid foundation to whip up their ballet dancing skills.

For children aged four to six –years old, they are required to attend once a week. Six- to nine-year-olds must practice twice a week, and those 10 to 12 years old should be training three times a week.

Dancewear is available at the Dance Centre for both boys and girls.
