Uncover the Vibrant Soul of Southern Thailand at Pakk Taii Design Week 2023

Far from the hustle and bustle of the center streets are the century-old business districts in the southern part of Thailand, where culture continues to thrive in the towns of Songkhla, Narathiwat, and Pattani. Visit and dive deeper into the culture of these towns at Pakk Taii Design Week 2023 on Aug. 12 to Aug. 20.
An initiative of the Creative Economy Agency, the province of Songkhla, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and southern innovators, the festival was created in hopes of strengthening and showcasing southern Thailand’s cultural assets while also improving the economy and quality of life in the southern part of the country.
With the theme "The Next Spring," the event highlights 60 different art activities, installations, workshops, and a creative market, among others, that visitors can enjoy.
The week-long festival is set to conduct its activities in Trang’s Tabtieng and Pattani’s Arom-Dee district before visiting other places around town, including Songkhla Old Town, Laem Son Pier in the Hua khao community, and Hat Yai district, where they will showcase the cultural legacy of the featured towns in a contemporary way.
To encourage people to stay and live in their hometowns, there will also be a "Pakk Taii Home coming" featuring local artists, designers, innovators, and entrepreneurs.
You can also catch the Singorama Film Festival by the banks of Songkhla Lake, which will serve as an outdoor cinema that will showcase films, TV drama series, and short films by southern filmmakers. Aside from joining the film viewing, you can also immerse yourself in the other aspects of creating a film, such as subtitling movies and creating film posters on canvases.
