TikTok Unveils Interactive Test-Based Post Format with Custom Sound Options
July 26, 2023
TikTok is broadening its creative scope with the introduction of a text-based post feature, thereby providing more diverse content formats. This new feature will enable users to convey their ideas and originality in text format, augmenting the platform's typical short-form video content.
The uniqueness of these text-based posts resides in their interactive nature and customization potential. TikTok's objective is to make these posts as dynamic as their video or photo content by giving users the ability to add sound, alter fonts and colors, and even activate Duets. Stickers, tags, and hashtags relevant to pertinent topics or trends will also be accessible, enriching the overall user experience.
The social media giant is not only diversifying its content formats but also enlarging its sound library via a collaboration with Warner Music Group (WMG). This partnership will authorize the use of Warner Recorded Music and Warner Chappell Music's catalogues on TikTok and its music-oriented branches, intending to provide increased value to WMG’s artists and TikTok users.
TikTok also recently introduced TikTok Music, a music streaming service currently undergoing closed beta testing in Australia, Mexico, and Singapore. This service plans to showcase a vast array of artists and millions of tracks, demonstrating TikTok's commitment to elevating the auditory experience across their platform.
