Glenfiddich Unveils Zodiac Guest Shift Series Beginning with Fire Signs

Hong Kong’s cocktail scene is about to light up the sky with its Zodiac Guest Shift series, celebrating the astrological signs coinciding with elements of fire, water, wind, and earth. Launching in April and running until June, 2024, each month will feature a zodiac themed event where top bartenders craft imaginative cocktails inspired by the astrological signs.

Hosted by Glenfiddich, a famous single malt Scotch whisky brand, the series kicks off with the element of fire at Library Restaurant and Bar on April 10. Award-winning mixologist Pei Cheung from Soho’s Bar Anima joins resident bartender Ho Chan to create three bold and daring cocktails representing the Zodiac fire signs – Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius.

For Aries, the First Spark cocktail combines Glenfiddich 12-Year-Old Sherry Cask Finish with coffee ginger Oleo Saccharum, lemon juice, and soda water, reflecting the sign's fearless and energetic nature.

Inspired by Leo, the Pride Lion cocktail blends Glenfiddich 12-Year-Old with cognac, orange liqueur, sweet Vermouth, and orange bitters, embodying the sign's confidence and charisma.

Representing Sagittarius, the Mockingjay cocktail mixes Glenfiddich 12-Year-Old with spiced pear syrup, sweet Vermouth, and orange bitters, symbolizing the sign's sense of adventure and freedom.

Ho Chan also presents his interpretations of each fire sign, with Leo made using dill syrup and Santoni Amaro, Aries with green apple Schnapps, and Sagittarius with Dover ginger liqueur and Sorrel red vein tea.

While the list of beverages has yet to be revealed for the following Earth sign-inspired session, the guest shift date is May 10, which falls right into the Taurus season. The pop-up will be presented by award-winning mixologist Jeffery Liu from Club Manhattan, in tandem with Draftland HK’s Angus Woo, who will be making their appearance at Lemna of the Alchemist bar in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Stay tuned for the upcoming guest shifts featuring cocktails inspired by the water and wind signs, promising an immersive journey through the flavours of the Zodiac.
