Vegetarian-Friendly Fast Food WOW Burger Introduces Plant-Based Bowls
Extending its commitment to sustainable dining, BaseHall’s WOW Burger rolled out a range of plant-based bowls that promise to take diners on a journey of flavours minus the guilt.
The new WOW Katsu Bowl features tender “chicken” with house-made Japanese curry, edamame, and pickled ginger, while the WOW Mediterranean Bowl invites diners to a culinary trip with savoury “lamb,” creamy tzatziki, fresh pita bread, garden salad, hummus, and crumbled feta cheese. For a Korean kick, try the WOW Korean Bowl, featuring bulgogi “beef” with a medley of flavours including rice, lotus root, bean sprouts, and a fiery kick of Gochujang sauce. These newly introduced bowls, priced at HK$98 each, are made in-house using plant proteins sourced locally.
With these offerings, WOW Burger aims to encourage a shift in the Hong Kong F&B industry towards more environmentally friendly practices. Launched this year, WOW Burger positions itself as Asia's first vertically integrated plant-based fast-food concept, using everyday kitchen ingredients to create affordable, unprocessed, and sustainable meals.
