The Mabrewhay Craft Beer Festival returns to the Ayala Triangle Gardens from May 8 to 10, 2026, bringing together a wide lineup of local brewers in the heart of the city.

The three-day event will showcase over 60 craft beers highlighting a range of styles, bold flavor profiles, and brewing techniques from all over the Philippines. Designed as an open, community-driven gathering, the celebration invites both casual drinkers and enthusiasts to explore and discover local pints in one whole space.

Participating brewers include Engkanto Brewery, Elias Wicked Ales & Spirits, Monkey Eagle Brewery, Papa Bolo, Mitchell’s Backyard Brewery, Palm Tree Abbey, Bauhinia Brewery, and more.

One of the Philippines’ most iconic and beloved cultural events — the Malasimbo Music & Arts Festival — is set to return to the Puerta Real Gardens this May 23, 2026, marking its second consecutive year at the historic venue in Manila.

Known for its blend of music, art, and advocacy, the festival continues to reimagine its setting within the Walled City, where open spaces meet 18th-century architecture. The festival kicks off at 2 PM and will continue till 11:45 PM, offering a family-friendly event with almost 11 hours of fun and exciting vibes.

'The Notebook: The Musical' to Make Philippine Debut in September 2026

Ready for Noah and Allie’s love story to pull your heartstrings once more?

Theatre Group Asia (TGA) is set to stage “The Notebook: The Musical” in Manila for the first time this September, opening its 2026-2027 season at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater.

Based on Nicholas Sparks’ 1996 novel, and is renowned for the 2004 film adaptation starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, the production traces the enduring love story of Noah and Allie, moving between the present-day care facility and the American South in the 1940s.

The musical first premiered in 2022 at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater before making its 2024 Broadway debut in 2024. It features music and lyrics by Ingrid Michaelson, with a book by Bekah Brunstetter.

Filipino singer-songwriter Morissette has been cast as Middle Allie in the upcoming production, while Filipino theater darlings Sheena Belarmino and Benedix Ramos are set to portray Young Allie and Young Noah, respectively.

Tickets will be available via TicketWorld starting Apr. 20 for BPI cardholders, Robinsons Bank cardholders on Apr. 21 to 22, Theatre Group Asia subscribers on Apr. 23, and for General Sale on Apr. 24.

Otaku Pop Fes is taking over Okada Manila this Apr. 25 and 26, 2026 for a large-scale celebration of Japanese anime, manga, music, and pop culture.

Unfolding across Okada Manila’s Glass Ballroom and Cove Manila, fans can expect a varied selection of anime and manga exhibition booths, curated displays, immersive showcases, and so much more!

This year’s featured IP booths include renowned and emerging titles in the anime and manga scene, such as “Dan Da Dan,” “Witchwatch,” “Tokyo Revengers,” “Tougen Anki,” “Naruto,” “Shadowverse,” “Umamusume: Pretty Derby,” “Sakamoto Days,” “Spy x Family,” “The Apothecary Diaries,” and “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.”

“The Symphonic World of Studio Ghibli” is set to take the stage at The Theatre at Solaire from July 31 to Aug. 2, 2026, bringing audiences to a world of wonder, nostalgia, and adventure with a live orchestral setting.

Presented by Film Concerts PH in partnership with The Japan Foundation Manila, the production forms a part of the Philippines-Japan Friendship Year 2026, marking 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Performed by the 83-piece Filharmonika Orchestra under the baton of Gerard Salonga, the program features the unforgettable music of acclaimed composer Joe Hisaishi, whose scores have defined the soundtracks of films such as “Howl’s Moving Castle,” “Spirited Away,” “My Neighbor Totoro,” and “Kiki’s Delivery Service.”

Spanning approximately two hours, the concert offers a purely orchestral experience, with some segments incorporating special narration. Performances are scheduled across four shows: July 31 at 8 PM, Aug. 1 at 2 PM and 7 PM, and Aug. 2 at 2 PM. Guests are also welcome to come in themed attire inspired by the films, adding to the nostalgia and whimsical atmosphere of the show.

Sake Manila Returns This May 2026 for a Night of Japan’s Finest Pours

Japanese liquor is having its moment.

Sake Manila 2026 is set to take over the Grand Ballroom at Okada Manila on May 22, 2026, bringing back one of the city’s most anticipated nights for drinks, discovery, and everything in between.

Happening from 5 PM to 12 AM, the space transforms into a full-scale tasting floor, with over 200 sakes from 50-plus Japanese breweries on pour. Beyond sake, the Japanese liquor lineup stretches across whiskey, gin, shochu, liqueurs, beer, wine, and amazake — all paired with Japanese bites and a live entertainment program to keep the spirits high and pouring.

Part tasting, part party, the night leans into a more social, free-flowing format — designed for moving in-between pours, discovering new favorites, and staying a little longer than planned.

Philippine Food Expo returns from April 17-19 at the World Trade Center Manila. QuakerFit Run 2026

The QuakerFit Run 2026 is set on April 26 at Ayala Triangle Gardens. Organized by RUNRIO, the event emphasizes commitment to an active lifestyle through structured race categories, including 5K, 10K, and 21K distances. A featured challenge includes the chance to run with Piolo Pascual and achieve a “Sub‑Piolo” time, defined as completing the 10K in 47 minutes. The race village also features interactive activities from PepsiCo brands and event partners.

The Moon and the Bakunawa is a theatrical production described as “A Dementia Carer Story,” presented on April 18, 19, 25, and 26 at the Jayne Offemaria‑Obiado Auditorium, AIMS Tower. The production follows Mamay and Tongyong as they retrace moments of love, laughter, and memory loss. Drawing from Filipino myth, the presence of the Bakunawa serves as a metaphor for forgetting, reflecting the emotional weight of memories slipping away and the struggle to hold on.

Paws at the Post transforms Paseo de Roxas in Makati into a vibrant street fair from April 18-19. The program also includes a pet adoption initiative, featuring adoptable cats and dogs from Cats of Legaspi Village and Adopt Biyaya, as well as a photo booth for keepsake moments. Free entrance!

MATSURI in Manila 2026

MATSURI in Manila 2026 is scheduled on April 25 at the Quirino Grandstand, serving as a large‑scale celebration of Japanese culture in the Philippines. Highlights include stage performances, Japanese food stalls, cosplay showcases, kimono presentations, hobby booths, drifting exhibitions, and a fireworks display to cap off the event. The performer lineup includes Maria Ozawa, Maki Otsuki, Myrtle Sarrosa, and Alex Calleja, alongside other artists.
