‘Island of New Possibilities’: This Upcoming Luxury Resort and Casino Offers Lavish Treats for Cebuanos

The east coast of Cebu is offering a new entertainment venue with a mix of luxury branding. Developed by Universal Hotels and Resorts Incorporated, NUSTAR Resort and Casino is a five-star integrated resort based on Kawit Island slated to open in 2022.

The construction of this project reportedly began in August 2019, which costs $517 million (P 26.1 billion) and is located 12 miles away from Mactan-Cebu International Airport. The upcoming luxury resort also unlocks additional 5,000 job offers for our kababayans in Cebu.

Entertainment and Hospitality

The resort is expected to open two hotel brands namely NUSTAR Hotel Cebu and Fili Urban Resort with a selection of more than 1,000 rooms. Brimming with hospitality and warmth , guests will definitely experience complete indulgence, decadence, and comfort during their stay.

On the other hand, the casino area is considered as the region’s largest gaming floor with a gross floor area of 21,000 square meters. NUSTAR casino offers the real thrill of gaming throughout its 1,500 machines and 250 tables. The casino is also built with exclusive private rooms, an entertainment bar for live performances, and a sports bar for special events.

Other recreational areas opening soon are cinemas (private screenings available), the 116-meter summit Skydeck for sea views, the Wharf and the Boardwalk along Cebu Strait, and the convention center with exhibition halls for MICE and social functions.
