Central Pattana to Run Pride Month Festivities Until June 30
In support of the LGBTQIA+ community in the Land of Smiles, multi-level shopping mall Central Pattana will run its Pride Month campaign from June 1-30.
“Central Pattana and Central Shopping Centres encourage everyone to proudly, creatively, and confidently be themselves,” the company said in a Facebook post.
Today at 4:30 PM, the company will kick off the festivities with a queer-themed fashion parade, where attendees can strut the streets of Bangkok in their most stylish attire.
Come Sunday, June 4, Central Pattana will co-host the highly anticipated Bangkok Pride 2023, where drag queens will showcase their lip-syncing and dancing skills.
Local artist Teayii Prapassorn has mounted a special art installation at CentralWorld, which features multi-coloured paintings that depict the struggles and milestones of the LGBTQIA+ community. It will run for two full months starting today.
Pattaya residents who can’t make it to the city centre can look forward to the forthcoming “Pattaya International Pride Festival 2023” on June 24.
