Phoebe Philo Returns: What to Know About Her First Self-titled Collection

The fashion world is abuzz as Phoebe Philo, the acclaimed British designer and former creative director of Chloé and Celine, returns to the scene with her eponymous London-based label. It will be released in three drops starting from Oct. 30, 2023. While there is yet to be a specific date revealed for the second portion of the Phoebe Philo A1 collection, the second edit, Phoebe Philo A2, is already planned for Spring 2024.

In total, there are 150 pieces to explore. Philo's collection appears to be an extension of her work during her time at Celine. It encompasses a series of elegant variations on classic wardrobe staples, with structured tailoring, geometric and boxy overcoats, trench coats, woolly sweaters, cargo pants, and more. The collection also includes casual pieces that suggest after-hours wear, as well as a range of accessories like shoes, bags, sunglasses, and jewellery.

Phoebe Philo first gained recognition when she took the helm at Chloé, and her work at Celine solidified her status as a cult designer. Her collections at Celine were celebrated for creating clothing tailored for the contemporary woman, which garnered her a devoted following in the fashion world.
