Travis Scott Fans in ‘Meltdown’ Over Chocolate AP Collab and Merch Series

After teaming up with pop culture icons like Jay-Z, luxury timepiece brand Audemars Piguet has unveiled another hip hop-themed collab with rapper Travis Scott.

Teased by the lyric in the song ‘Meltdown,’ this latest creation was unveiled on Nov. 30. The Royal Oak Chocolate AP is a visual feast of Travis Scott's signature chocolate-coloured style palette. What makes this timepiece truly remarkable is that it's the first Royal Oak to be crafted in brown ceramic. The strap, meanwhile, is made of textured calfskin leather, exuding a sense of rugged luxury that perfectly aligns with Travis Scott's persona.

Details like the Cactus Jack smiley logo integrated into the moon phase indicator, Travis Scott's hand-drawn font used for the days and months on the face, and a Cactus Jack logo serving as the day sub dial all contribute to the watch's unique appeal.

To top it off, the sapphire case back is engraved with "Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar" and a reference to Travis’ latest album with the motto "Utopia is a state of mind," which also appears on one of the strap's movable loops. This luxurious timepiece is limited to only 200 units, making it a true collector's item.

Not one to stop at timepieces, Travis Scott has also launched a range of limited-edition merch to accompany this groundbreaking collaboration.

From satin pyjama pants adorned with AP monograms to T-shirts featuring horological imagery, zip-up hoodies embellished with sepia photos of AP's hometown in Brassus, Switzerland, to crewnecks bearing both AP and Cactus Jack logos, the merch lineup is as unique and stylish as the man himself.
