Barcelona’s Paradiso Comes to Rosewood HK’s DarkSide for Exclusive Pop-up

Renowned Barcelona speakeasy and winner of the 2022 World’s Best Bar title, Paradiso, is set to take up residence at DarkSide in Rosewood Hong Kong this July.
Paradiso head bartender and owner Giacomo Giannotti will join forces with Simone Rossi, DarkSide’s Director of Bars, to create a memorable experience just before this year’s Asia's 50 Best Bars award presentation. Guests will sip their drinks with bated breath to find if Hong Kong’s DarkSide will retain its placement as 13th on the list of Asia’s 50 Best since 2022.
Paradiso is celebrated for its avant-garde cocktails that combine fantasy-inspired creativity with sustainability, offering a fresh vision of the speakeasy bar experience.
“With a shared passion for innovation, creativity and sustainability, it is a true pleasure and privilege to collaborate with Paradiso, the number 1 on World’s 50 Best Bars 2022, encouraging the exchange of ideas among industry leaders in cocktail-making while Rosewood Hong Kong is hosting this year’s edition of Asia’s 50 Best Bars. This is the first time the ceremony will be held in Hong Kong, and we are very excited to welcome our community back to Hong Kong,” says Simone.
For two nights only between July 16 and 17, guests will have the chance to savour five of Paradiso's most popular cocktails.
The Evolution Negroni is an innovative twist on it’s namesake classic, featuring bourbon whiskey infused with mango and vanilla, chai tea, Frangelico, and grated tonka bean. Fit for the summertime, their floral Tesla combines gin, an Acmella Oleracea liqueur, lemon verbena, edible flowers, and raspberry in a highball glass.
Then there is Copper. Inspired by the Metal Ages, the tipple is a surprising concoction of Scotch whiskey, pink pepper, artichoke infused Mancino Secco, polar mint tincture, rose water, agave syrup, and aloe vera. Fleming, named after the scientist who discovered penicillin, is a complex mix of miso-flavored Tequila Blanco, beer syrup, Mancino Secco, grapefruit juice, grapefruit kefir, Thai milk, and Perrier.
Lastly, The Cloud boasts hibiscus-infused mezcal, vermouth, and xylitol cordial, topped with an edible cappuccino cloud. The exclusive event's cocktails will be priced at HK$180 with 10% service charge, promising an unforgettable evening for cocktail aficionados.
