Join the Call to Save the Earth and Participate in Earth Hour 2024
The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Hong Kong is inviting everyone to join the Earth Hour Carnival at the West Kowloon Cultural District. Aside from observing the usual hour of turning your lights off, various green activities are also set to take place.
With this year’s theme, “Give an Hour for Earth,” the WWF Hong Kong aims to raise action and awareness with activities leading to the lights-off ceremony at 8:30 PM.
Aside from the Earth Hour Carnival happening on the same day as the ceremony, various activities are also open to everyone. Join the pre-earth hour activities, including workshops and yoga sessions.
Originating in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, the annual Earth Hour serves as the “biggest hour” for the planet, where everyone is encouraged to switch off non-essential lights as a way of coming together to show joint efforts in saving and preserving the planet, and to urge people to pursue a sustainable lifestyle that will help the preservation of the environment.
Watch out for more upcoming activities and initiatives by following the organisation’s Facebook and Instagram pages. You can also check out the event’s official website.
