1. CHOMP Turns One

With their first year of operations under their belt, food-rescue app CHOMP is celebrating their year of sustainability and prevention of food waste with a fantastic block party! 2. 18 Years Underground

Welcoming back live musical performances with a high-energy bash, in a joint celebration of their 18th year in action as a long-time local legend, music promoter The Underground HK is throwing a mini music festival to get the city back into its groove. Doubling as a massive shout out to the fantastic Hong Kong independent music scene, get ready to party to the varied sounds of the evening, courtesy of the killer line-up.

Expect the soft tones of indie-folk singer Gwenji, the blazing metal of headliners Parallel Horizons, as well as the pumped-up tunes from rockers Transmission, and alt metalheads What They Do. Pop-punk and hardcore Hybrid Stereo will also be playing their debut show. All tickets are inclusive of one drink, apart from student tickets, which are offered at a concession price of HK$100. 3. Dream Waves of Impact

Paying attention to the effects we have on the environment is a crucial habit to cultivate, especially in the face of the damage caused by climate change and natural disasters that have come as a result of human activities. Leading into the future, social enterprise collective Dream Impact are hosting a weekend of ESG events to drive better awareness of sustainability practices and solutions. The two-day event begins with the ESG Solutions Expo of interactive keynotes and panel discussions in the topics of wellness, climate action, heritage preservation, and more. This will be followed by a hands-on day of ESG training at Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden, with well-rounded activities that range from meditation classes to upcycling workshops. The day will also be rounded off with a special “World Music in Flow” concert presented by Museek Studio, featuring alternative instruments from all over the world. 4. HKAFF 2022

Organised by the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival Society, the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival (HKAFF) is an annual panorama of films created by local or Asia-based artists. With a total of over 60 films this year, expect to be dazzled by world-class titles that have won accolades from Cannes, the Venice Film Festival, the Busan International Film Festival, and Berlin International Film Festival. There will also be Q&As with the filmmakers after certain sessions, so be sure to check your tickets to see if you get to hang back after the credits roll.

Flick through titles like Eric Tsang Hing-weng's “Hong Kong Family,” Lee Kyoo-man's “The Policeman's Lineage” and “The Myanmar Diaries” by The Myanmar Film Collective, by looking at the festival programme here. 5. Hands Up for Stand Up

Live performances are back and the art of stand-up is one that makes full use of that instantaneous rapport. Sit in and enjoy some cracking jokes from Hong Kong’s comedic rockstars at Studio 33’s newly refurbished space! Featuring Jordan “69ranch” Leung, Ha Chu, Pete Grella, Tamby Chan, Bryan Bentley, Chris Musni, Kevin Ramiro, Kate Hu, and Hannah Davies, you’ll be walking away from the venue with a full set of chiselled abs after an evening chock-full of back-to-back belly laughs. 6. Open Sorrento

Naples-inspired eatery CRUST Italian at Wan Chai’s historical Woo Cheung Pawn Shop has expanded to another beautiful location along the Tseung Kwan O waterfront. Whisking you away to the Amalfi Coast with their gorgeous blue and white interiors, and custom crafted ceramics, the new pet-friendly CRUST Sorrento delivers on the same fresh flavours and mouth-watering Italian Pasticceria goodies.

CRUST Sorrento debuts with the Panuozzo, a hardy Neapolitan sandwich wedged in their signature pizza bread, as an offering unique to the branch’s menu. This vibrant joint is sure to win hearts in the neighbourhood thanks their beloved spread of pizzas, pastas, and pastries; especially with highlights like the Napoli SisonaPizza (HK$158) and their Eggplant with Tomato Sauce and Ricotta Focaccia (HK$138).

7. Swing to the Tempo Tempo

Stationed on the open-air terrace of Pirata Group’s behemoth collective dining concept The Sixteenth, Tempo Tempo reigns as one of the largest outdoor esplanades for Italian-style sundowners. Complementing the atmosphere of chill and beautifully designed space of patterned settees under lemon trees, bar manager Frankie Fong has designed a new array of signature cocktails that play with flavours as well as presentation.

From the adorable Unicorn Tamer (HK$120) that’s garnished with marshmallows and served in a unicorn-shaped mug, to the Berry Me Julep (HK$130) spun from maple bourbon and berries mix, sample from their distinctive and colourful range. What’s more, Happy Hours are offered Mondays through Fridays, with special deals on drinks that feature pink gin available on each “Pink Thursday.”

8. Cumpleaños de Candour

Hip-hop themed bar Candour is turning one next week! Their anniversary week is slated to welcome guest shifts from some of Hong Kong’s coolest, including The Pontiac’s Jen Queen, Apothecary’s Austen Lendrum, Hjem’s Tracy Villegas and The Old Man’s Nikita Matveev. Presented as The Battlegrounds, these star-tenders will go head-to-head in outdoing each other on the number of cocktails sold on their assigned evening. The festivities will culminate in a birthday party on the block scheduled Nov. 18, with bangers provided all night by DJ Crystal, and a special unveiling of a brand-new menu.

9. Nights at Studio 54

Once the beating heart of New York’s arts scene back in the 1970s, Studio 54 remains a legend in nightlife and entertainment, having served as the iconic backdrop for some of the world’s most prolific and unique celebrities and artists to make history. Brought to life by renowned artistic director Richard Crawford and the Secret Theatre crew, this is a hybrid dining and performance experience not to miss.

Recapturing the magic of Studio 54, the experience allows guests to come face-to-face with evocative apparitions of Elton John, Bianca Jagger, Freddie Mercury, Andy Warhol, Diana Ross, and more, through stunning performances and transformations. 10. Livin’ La Vida Baja

The Sunday Scaries are best remedied with an escape—to a vibrant Bajan beach town perhaps? Taking you away on a holiday for your taste buds, this spread of delectable Mexican-inspired eats will soothe and satisfy. Starring the main piece of a flavourful PescadoAsado Entero, caught and roasted whole, slathered in brimming salsa verde and adobo. Best enjoyed on the bed of their signature tortillas.

TOVA's Qipao Dim Sum Rave Brings Cheongsams to the Dance Floor

Put on your qipao and head to the dance floor!

TOVA is throwing a QipaoDim Sum Rave on Aug. 1, 2026, in Hong Kong, an evening that swaps the usual beats and bottle service for cheongsams, handmade dumplings, and free-flow tea. The party runs from 8 to 11 PM at Lung Dim Sum and is presented by Coco Leung and Iven the Panda.

Aside from the modern dim sum, Chinese fashion, and Hong Kong's signature neon-light aesthetic, people can expect heavy beats from DJs Hansel and Jono.

Each ticket includes one drink and one dim sum box (six pieces). Guests can lean on the free-flow tea or Chinese liquor from Hong Kong Beer Co. and Purple Rain Wine.

And if you're wondering about the dress code, just take a cue from the rave name: it's Chinese attire. That qipao you rarely wear or have no event to wear to, this rave offers the perfect reason. Turning up in jeans is a no-no.

Lung Dim Sum is a handcrafted dim sum shop that blends tradition with modern twists. Its open kitchen lets guests watch dumplings come together in real time.

It's going to be a wild Manila night in Dara Hong Kong!

Before the bar community heads to Macau for Asia's 50 Best Bars, Dara Hong Kong is hosting four guest bartenders for "A Night in Manila," a one-night-only takeover celebrating Philippine cocktail culture, on July 26, 2026.

Doors open at 7 PM and the event runs till late, which is bar-industry speak for make sure your schedule is clear the following morning.

Behind the bar for the night: Ian Libang of Malagihay Cocktail Club, Billy Ranchez of Analog, Sed Figueroa of BRB in Solaire Resort, and Richard Palabasan of Opal Bar. Dara's own Jay Brodit and Jon Bunoan complete the lineup.

Presented by Dara HK and Metabev HK, in partnership with the Philippine Cocktail Fiesta and Drink Collectiv, the event champions the Philippine bar scene on the regional stage.

A stacked list of drink brands is backing the night, including Eclipse Beverages, Baldoria Vermouth, Almave, Nixta Licor, Martingale Cognac, and Two Moons Distillery. With this sponsor lineup, cocktail possibilities are endless — but guests will have to wait and find out!

'Wing Lei Bar & Friends' Special Edition

Wynn Resorts Macau is celebrating its 20th anniversary and its return as the Official Host Partner of Asia's 50 Best Bars 2026 with an expanded version of its "Wing Lei Bar & Friends " from July 24-29, 2026. Spanning Wynn Palace and Wynn Macau, the program brings together more than 50 internationally acclaimed bartenders and chefs for guest shifts, collaborative dinners, tasting experiences, and after-parties alongside the region's biggest bar awards ceremony.

July 24 & 28 – Wing Lei Bar Showcase: Hosted by Mark Lloyd, Director of Bars at Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, this guided tasting experience offers an introduction to UNITY 2.0, the latest chapter of Wing Lei Bar's signature cocktail menu. July 26 – Night Hawk, Singapore and Good Friends Club, Malaysia: This one-night collaboration showcases two rising stars of Southeast Asia's cocktail scene. July 25 – Maison Mahjong at Bourke's: Making its Hong Kong pop-up debut, Maison Mahjong brings together internationally recognized duo Millie Tang and Harrison Kenney for an evening of handcrafted dumplings and cocktails inspired by heritage, culture, and a decade spent behind some of the world's best bars. Hong Kong's cocktail scene gets an extra boost as Campari welcomes acclaimed bartenders from across Asia for two special guest shifts spotlighting creativity, craftsmanship, and hospitality.

July 26 – Campari Hospitality at MIUS: From 3 PM to 7 PM, Central's acclaimed cocktail bar MIUS hosts an afternoon guest shift featuring Cris Song of Pony Up (Shanghai) and Campari Red Hands APAC Winner 2025, Hiroyuki Yamada of Bee's Knees (Kyoto), Tanat "Kem" Suttirak of Cherry Olive Cocktail Club (Bangkok), and Uno Jang of Jigger & Pony Group (Singapore) and recipient of the 2025 Asia's 50 Best Bartenders' Bartender Award. The multi-platinum singer will play AsiaWorld-Expo on Dec. 1, 2026 as part of his "It's Always Summer Somewhere" Tour. Presale for the Hong Kong stop opens July 13 online. The same day, presales begin for Singapore, Bangkok, Taipei, and Kuala Lumpur.

For the Asia leg of Khalid's tour, there are seven cities announced so far. Opening on Nov. 24 at The Star Vista in Singapore, followed by UOB Live in Bangkok on Nov. 29, a Hong Kong stop on Dec. 1, Tokyo Garden Theater in Koto City, Japan on Dec. 3, Kintex in Goyang-si, South Korea on Dec. 5, and TICC in Taipei's Xinyi District on Dec. 7, before the final stop on Dec. 9 at Idea Live Arena in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
