As the Year of the Dragon begins, 7-Eleven and Sanrio Hong Kong have joined forces once again to introduce a collection of eight lucky coin banks, spreading prosperity and good fortune to customers and their loved ones.

The "Sanrio Characters Roly Poly Lucky Coin Banks" series showcases eight popular Sanrio characters, including Hello Kitty, Hangyodon, Pompompurin, Minna no Tābō, Ahirunopekkle, Kerokerokeroppi, and Little Twin Stars.

Inspired by the traditional "Daruma Doll" and the beloved "Lucky Cat," each roly-poly coin bank features a unique Chinese blessing such as "Good Luck," "Prosperity," "Wisdom," "Peace," "Health," "Abundance," "Great Fortune," and "Destiny."

Crafted from 100% recycled plastic with a wood-grain texture, these approximately 12cm tall coin banks are adorned with festive patterns, including peach blossoms, lucky stars, and fireworks. To add an extra touch of fortune, each coin bank comes with its own lucky coin featuring another Sanrio character, which can be placed in the hands of the coin bank characters.

In addition to the eight coin banks, 7-Eleven has unveiled an exclusive golden special edition Hello Kitty roly-poly coin bank. This limited-edition version, accompanied by a Tiny Chum lucky coin, exudes elegance with its matte gold and red design, symbolizing abundant riches and good fortune.

For Yuu members, 7-Eleven has also introduced Chinese New Year merch sets, including the "Plenty & Prosperous" and "Lucky Dragon Year" limited edition coin bank lai see (red packet) sets. Each set comprises four designated Sanrio characters roly-poly lucky coin banks and 20 lai see envelopes featuring Hello Kitty and Minna no Tābō designs. Pre-orders for these exclusive sets are available from Jan. 17 to 23.

This collaboration between 7-Eleven and Sanrio is not the first of its kind. Previously, 7-Eleven partnered with New York fashion brand Anna Sui and Sanrio Hong Kong to launch on-the-go mini boxes featuring six Sanrio characters. The aim was to provide fans of both Anna Sui and Sanrio characters with a stylish and festive travel accessory during the holiday season.
