Verm City
Opening in 2011, Verm City is Hong Kong’s first full facility rock climbing gym and largest of its kind on the island. It offers a spacious curving area for bouldering, a small space for lead climbing and top rope up to 10 metres, and the gym’s signature Clip N Climb Park, a kids-designed rock-climbing theme park challenging beginner kid climbers on a variety of sport climbing activities.
Verm City’s rock climbing zone features both traditional bouldering and sport climbing routes, following the eponymous Vermin rating system offering colour-graded problems on a scale from V0-V12. With day passes starting at HK$250, allowing climbers to play for up to 12 hours, an unlimited-visit monthly pass begins at HK$800.

Just Climb HK
Just Climb Hong Kong is the city’s most comprehensive climbing gym, boasting of a sizeable climbing wall in its flagship San Po Kong location. Just Climb’s shared punch cards are where value comes with climbing, with 10 punches costing just HK$2368 and 20 punches priced at HK$4268. The gym also organises the Hong Kong Boulder League 2022, the city’s largest competition for amateur and semi-pro climbers competing on the hardest of routes.
With new locations set to open in Tseung Kwan O, Sha Tin, and Quarry Bay, Just Climb offers a wealth of classes and courses designed to instruct children and beginner adult climbers with tips, safety procedures, and assistance on climbs. The Onsight Bouldering Course is Just Climb’s most popular, aiding students with a 50-minute safety and route course included in the HK$278-day pass fee.

Attic V
Attic V is the most affordable (and cosy) bouldering on the island conveniently located opposite the Wong Chuk Hang MTR station. Routes within the gym are changed every two weeks, ensuring a refresh for each visit. A day pass is economical for any adult or student, priced respectively at HK$150 and HK$130. A personal pass purchasable at the front desk is an even better decision, with 10 visits costing just HK$600.
The bouldering gym is designed by rock climbing fanatic couple Joanna and Gwie who have operated Attic V for seven years, curating the more than 100 routes on the gym’s four walls as per regular customers’ recommendations and trends in the sport.

Go Nature Climbing Gym
Go Nature’s gym in Kwun Tong provides a curved wall of climbing terrain for beginners to experienced climbing professionals, with more than 150 climbing routes. The gym is over 6,500 square metres in size with free assistance from resident coaches, shower facilities (a rarity with climbing gyms in Hong Kong), and lockers.
The indoor gym offers nine different courses every day, catering to beginner children climbers to personalised coaching. The Introductory Course, priced at HK$398, is a comprehensive guide to entering the sport, with tips of safety, climbing method, route challenges, and skills for climbing up and down. One-on-one personalised coaching begins at HK$800 for one hour.

The Player Climbingym offers affordable day passes and monthly passes for all ages, with a monthly pass costing HK$798 and a 5-day share pass costing HK$1298, an average of HK$260 each visit.

Conveniently located in Sheung Wan, Keep Climbing Gym keeps it nice and simple with one central room that has routes ranging from V0 to V8+ curving around. Bouldering routes are colour-coded to assist climbers in routes.
This Sheung Wan gym is located deep within an industrial building but makes up for it with one of the cheapest monthly passes. A three-month pass costs only HK$180, while a climbing introductory class is priced at HK$250, fee covering a day pass, 1-hour coaching, climbing shoes, and chalk rental.

Camp Four Bouldering
Opening its doors to climbers and boulderers in February, Camp Four Bouldering is a chic indoor climbing gym serving Sha Tin. The indoor gym of funky climbing routes, well-lit and spacious for family-focused fun, is set up by Rock Fun HK to boost engagement with outdoor challenges in Hong Kong and promote the fun of climbing.
Camp Four’s day and monthly passes are affordable, compared with Hong Kong Island climbing gyms and larger indoor climbing spaces. A (continued) monthly pass costs HK$658, a quarterly pass is HK$1898, and a 10-visit share pass costs HK$1778 and is valid for three months.

The Project_ climb & boulder gym is nestled within the blocky grey industrial buildings in east Kowloon, providing a fun escape for workers in offices around Kowloon Bay. The gym is sectioned with a two curving walls that hold flat-wall routes and increasingly challenging bouldering paths, a middle column with overhanging routes, a corner for enjoying coffee, and an additional room for yoga practice.
Day passes and monthly passes come slightly cheaper than average fees in Hong Kong and Kowloon, with a (continuous) monthly pass costing HK$700 and a 12- months pass costing HK$7800. With a student ID, a day pass can be enjoyed for as little as HK$180.

Campus Climbing HK
Campus Climbing is unique in Hong Kong as a climbing gym with the longest operating hours, opening daily from 10 AM to midnight. Describing itself as a “petite bouldering gym,” the one-room indoor space is nestled within the hustle of Jordan, right beside the MTR, for convenience. It includes comfortable bean bags, coffee tables, and boards games and books for chillaxing after a heavy day climbing.
Day pass prices and monthly passes are among the most affordable in the city, with an adult day pass costing just HK$180, a monthly pass at HK$590, and a seasonal pass costing HK$1,600.

n bouldering is the newest indoor bouldering gym to land in Hong Kong opening its doors to climbers in April 2022. What n bouldering lacks in size, it makes up for in state-of-the-art equipment it recently installed in the Wan Chai space. It also boasts a sleek and comfortable indoor area, fit with a resting coffee space and spectacular views north to Kowloon.
Prices are worth it for the view, with a monthly membership set at HK$880, a 10-entry two-month valid shared pass at HK$2,480, and a 50% off early bird special pass at HK$134 if you leave before 3 PM on a weekday.
