Siargao Film Camp Opens Registration for Aspiring Filmmakers
Calling all aspiring filmmakers! If you’ve always wanted to penetrate the Philippine movie industry but don’t know where to start, consider joining the forthcoming Siargao Film Camp.
Taking place on the tropical island of Siargao on Nov. 9-12, the film workshop aims to equip young creatives and storytellers with the essential tools and knowledge to effectively translate their stories into movies.
Participants can look forward to intensive training and workshops under the helm of local filmmakers such as Ryanne Murcia, Keith Deligero, and Arbi Barbanora.
“Immerse yourself in the island’s pristine beaches, stunning landscapes, and vibrant culture, all while honing your filmmaking skills,” the organizer said in a Facebook announcement.
The workshop package includes a film camp kit, certificate of participation, roundtrip ferry fare, food and refreshments, a three-night accommodation, and more.
Interested applicants may register and secure the early bird pass (P15,000) by Aug. 1. Once the slots are filled, the ticket price will return to its regular rate of P20,000.
