Make Way for the Queens: ‘Drag Den Philippines’ to Stream on Prime Video on Dec. 8
After months of speculation, “Drag Den Philippines” will finally premiere on Dec. 8 via Amazon Prime Video.
On Nov. 17, “Drag Den Philippines” posted on its official Twitter account a teaser video of “RuPaul’s Drag Race’s” Manila Luzon introducing the eight queens set to compete for the crown.
“This is the drag lord speaking. I just want to inform you that after years and years and years of searching, I’ve finally found it,” Manila Luzon said in the video.
The eight drag queens who made the cut are O-A, Maria Cristina, Aries Night, Barbie-Q, Shewarma, Pura Luka Vega, NAIA, and Lady Gagita.
Social media personality Sassa Gurl and beauty queen Nicole Cordoves are also joining the show as the “drag runner” and “drag dealer,” respectively.
“Drag Den Philippines,” the Filipino franchise of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” was initially teased in mid-2021. It is produced by Project 8 and Cornerstone Studios.
The reality competition’s first season comes following the success of “Drag Race Philippines,” which capped off its initial run in October and premiered on HBO GO.
