Bangkok Named as the Best City in Asia by the Travel Magazine DestinAsian

Planning to travel around Asia this year? You might want to visit the cities that topped the list of the best cities in Asia at the recent DestinAsian Readers’ Choice Awards 2024.

Among the Asian cities, Bangkok secures the top spot, beating Tokyo, which finished in second place. Joining the list are other cities in Southeast Asia, including Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, while Hong Kong and Seoul rank fourth and fifth, respectively.

Recently recognised as the top Lunar New Year destination among tourists by the online travel platform Agoda, the concrete jungle of Bangkok is filled with vibrant sceneries and culture for guests to explore.

Boosting the city’s tourism, Bangkok is also set to host the first-ever Summer Sonic outside Japan this year and the biggest EDM festival, Tomorrowland, in the world in 2026, attracting more tourists to visit the city in the upcoming years.

Aside from the best city list, the travel magazine has also released the best islands and airlines in Asia, wherein Thailand-based airlines and islands have also made the cut.
