Hong Kong’s Night Vibes Campaign Details Unveiled: Celebrating Nightlife
For nocturnal souls, the Hong Kong government has just unveiled the details of its latest initiative, the ‘Night Vibes Hong Kong’ campaign, designed to promote the city’s bustling nightlife and give a much-needed boost to the local economy.
Set to kick off around the Mid-Autumn Festival this month, the campaign will run through several major celebrations, including National Day, Halloween, Christmas, New Year, until the early months of 2024.
Key players like the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) and MTR Corporation have thrown their support behind the initiative, offering enticing incentives such as free Wednesday nights at the Happy Valley Racecourse and discounted subway rides after 10:30PM.
Cultural hotspots like the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Hong Kong Science Museum, and the Hong Kong Space Museum will extend their opening hours, while over 80 shopping malls will organize various cultural and sports events, outdoor night markets, and extend their opening hours. More than 100 restaurant and bars in the Lan Kwai Fong Association will also offer dining deals.
Property developers, including Sun Hung Kai Properties, Hang Lung Properties, New World Development, and Sino Group, are backing the initiative, supporting the introduction of night markets and a series of events along the harbourfront including performances, cultural events, markets and guided tours. Even Ocean Park and Disneyland are joining the night-time festivities with special night shows and Halloween events.
The ‘Night Vibes Hong Kong’ campaign promises a renewed perspective on the city’s nocturnal charm, inviting locals and tourists alike, to discover Hong Kong after dark.
