Kick Off the Year of the Snake at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is set to usher in the Year of the Snake with its “Magical Year After Year” Chinese New Year celebration! The event features a series of fantastic events and activities across its attractions, shops, hotels, and dining experiences that will surely bring endless blessings for all its guests.
From Jan. 17 to Feb. 16, witness the park decked in festive decorations from the traditional Chinese lanterns at Town Square to Mickey and Friends dressed in their festive attires. Experience tradition like no other at the Happiest Place on Earth by taking part in a Disney-filled Lunar New Year. Read on to discover all the magical highlights this season.
Park Attractions
Mickey and Friends Year of the Snake Processional
One of our favorite attractions in the park is the parade, and the “Mickey and Friends Year of the Snake Processional” puts on a refreshing twist on a beloved Chinese New Year tradition.
Snaking its way down Main Street, U.S.A, and led by God of Fortune Goofy, join Mickey and some of your favorite Disney characters including Chip' n' Dale, Pluto, and Mulan, dressed in their traditional outfits as they sing and dance along to the park’s original song “Magic Is Here.”
Chinese New Year Edition of Mickey & Friends Street Celebration
Spread the blessings and good vibes as we roll into the new year with this exciting Chinese New Year take on Mickey’s Main Street Express. Catch good fortune as Mickey and Friends, as well as Duffy and Friends make their way down Main Street U.S.A. in their traditional outfits to meet and greet everyone!

Festive Food
Hong Kong Disneyland is launching a variety of festive delicacies within the park and across its magical hotels.
There’s a limited-time time Chinese New Year set menu at Main Street Corner Café hosted by Coca-Cola® highlighting the "Golden Claypot," which symbolizes wealth and good fortune. Other restaurants in the park such as The Royal Banquet Hall, the Plaza Inn, and the Explorer’s Club will be serving up festive menu items and desserts, as well.


Hong Kong Disneyland hotel is welcoming the Year of the Snake with a scrumptious buffet at The Enchanted Garden, which will include a “Chinese New Year Pig” — a roasted boneless suckling pig with glutinous rice, and the "Steamed Dragon Eel with Olive Horn Sauce" as two of its menu highlights.
Meanwhile, The Crystal Lotus restaurant is offering a jumbo 22-centimetre fried dumpling that is perfect for sharing with your loved ones.


The Disney Explorers Lodge is also featuring a festive menu at the Dragon Wind restaurant, while Disney’s Hollywood Hotel’s Ink & Plate restaurant is serving up its Signature Prime Mushroom Vegetables Prosperity Salad (Lo Hei).

Festive Merchandise
Year of the Snake-themed Red Packets
From the first day of Chinese New Year, guests can receive a limited Disney-themed red packet containing a gold chocolate coin, as well as dining and shopping vouchers at the entrance of the park. (Available while supplies last!)

“Disney Gacha Magic” at Fantasy Gardens
Try your luck with the all-new 2025 Chinese New Year edition of “Disney Gacha Magic” located at the heart of Fantasy Land!
This special offering is available for HK$70 per set and includes a lavender-scented Chinese New Year accessory featuring Duffy and Friends and a GODIVA Chocolate small gift set. The full collection of scented accessories features ten unique designs, and three special editions! Each guest can purchase up to five sets per transaction, and is given a chance to draw a lucky red packet at the counter.
The Fantasy Garden pavilion where the event is held is adorned with traditional Chinese decorations featuring Duffy and Friends characters such as ShellieMay, CookieAnn, and ‘Olu Mel, making it another great photo op spot!
Limited-Edition Year of the Snake Items
Available in the resort’s stores and online are adorable special edition items in line with the Lunar New Year celebrations. From cute plush dolls and keychains to good fortune pouches, you’ll surely want to get your hands on them!
A must-have merch of the season is the "Snake Head and Snake Tail" plush doll (HK$199), which is Chip and Dale dressed in their snake costumes. There are also the Disney Collector’s coins and medallions which are intricately designed for the festivities. They’re available in four designs — two of which are limited and have only 2,000 pieces — and can be bought at the Main Street Mercantile.

Other festive items up for grabs are Chinese New Year Fai Chun (HK$99 to HK$129), Bag Charms (HK$169), and red packet sets (HK$49) featuring beloved Disney characters.

Hotel Attractions
Guests staying at the hotel during the Lunar New Year can enjoy a wide range of special activities.
At Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, you can take Year of the Snake-themed workshop classes such as the “Disney Snake-Tastic Lunar New Year Snack Making Workshop” (HK$288), the “Lunar New Year Bite-Size Blessings Cookie Class” (HK$248), and the “Lunar New Year Balloon Magic Workshop”(HK$100).
There are also morning tai chi exercise sessions with one of their Disney Masters. Talk about a great way to start the day!


If you want to make your stay extra festive, you can purchase an adorable Year of the Snake Chip ‘n’ Dale-Themed In-room Merchandise Package to bring lucky blessings to your bedroom! The package includes a selection of official Disney goodies from Chip ‘n’ Dale plush bag charms and plush head bags to snake costume keychains.

Care for a little moonlight picnic? Gather round with family and friends as you lay on the grass for a starlight picnic on the West Lawn of Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. Relax and enjoy a selection of Disney treats while watching some Disney movie classics under the stars! This special add-on is available for guests staying from Jan. 17 to Feb. 16 and is priced at HK$620 for two pax.
