Hong Kong Disneyland is returning to its pre-pandemic schedule operating from 10 AM to 9 PM, six days a week, starting this September. The park will remain closed on Wednesdays but will continue its operations on public holidays and special days falling on a Wednesday.
Since the pandemic in early 2020, Hong Kong Disneyland had operated with closures two days per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, in a shift towards normalcy, the park started operating six days a week from mid-June through mid-July, then proceeded to a seven-day operation until Aug. 31.
In other exciting news, Hong Kong Disneyland recently reopened its Hollywood Hotel and is gearing up to indulge guests in mesmerising Halloween celebrations starting from Sept. 16. Moreover, the park will reveal the Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse statue "Dream Makers" on Oct. 16, commemorating Disney’s 100th anniversary.
Marking the highlight on the park's calendar this year is the grand opening of the first-ever World of Frozen. Slated for November 2023, this event is eagerly anticipated by Disney enthusiasts and is sure to offer an unforgettable experience.

When planning your HK Disneyland visit, make sure you check weather websites for forecasts. Hong Kong can get hot and humid so make sure you bring hats and fans. You can also download the Hong Kong Disneyland Resortofficial mobile app so you can look into park hours, review maps, and locate the attractions you want to visit.
Take note of these must-dos before your trip:
Buy tickets in advance
You can book online to avoid long queues at the entrance and take advantage of discounts and bundles. Ticket prices vary depending on the Tier Level. General admission tickets are priced from HK$669 to HK$939 per person. Children aged 3 to 11 and seniors aged 60 and above can enjoy a discounted ticket price of around HK$639. Kids under 3 years old enter for free. For families planning to visit frequently, the park also offers two-day passes and Magic Access memberships. Be sure to check the official Hong Kong Disneyland website for promotional offers, as discounts and packages for families are often available. Don’t forget to note the validity date of your tickets.
Plan your visit and note the attractions
Attractions like "It's a Small World," "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh," and "Dumbo the Flying Elephant" are perfect for little ones. Maximize the app and check if there are character meet-and-greets as well.
Pack smart!
Bring essentials like diapers, baby wipes, formula/milk, snacks, sunscreen, and a change of clothes. Lightweight strollers are a must or you can rent one at the park.
Once at the park, you can also take advantage of Hong Kong Disneyland’s family-friendly amenities such as:
Baby Care Center: Located on Main Street, U.S.A., the Baby Care Center provides a comfortable space for nursing and diaper changes. Facilities include a nursing room, diaper-changing stations, highchairs upon request, and access to a refrigerator, microwave, and hot water for preparing baby meals.
Companion Restrooms: To make restroom visits easier, the park features six Companion Restrooms where parents and kids can go together, avoiding any inconvenience.
Stroller Parking: Convenient stroller parking areas are available near major attractions. Simply leave your stroller with a Cast Member, enjoy the attraction, and retrieve your stroller with the provided parking ticket.
Safety is a priority at Hong Kong Disneyland, and height restrictions are in place for certain attractions. For example, rides like Hyperspace Mountain and RC Racer require riders to be at least 102 cm tall, while the Iron Man Experience and Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars have a minimum height requirement of 112 cm. Don’t worry if your little ones don’t meet the height requirements — there are plenty of kid-friendly options they can enjoy.
You can also catch shows like "Mickey and the Wondrous Book" or the evening fireworks are relaxing ways to keep kids entertained without standing in line.

Packages range from simple hairstyling to full transformations with princess dresses, tiaras, and keepsake photos.

Navigating the park with young children can be tiring, but Hong Kong Disneyland makes it easier with stroller rentals. Here’s what you need to know:
Rental Location: Strollers can be rented at the old-time firehouse next to City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. They are for in-park use only and cannot be taken outside or used on Main Street vehicles and trains.
Pricing:
Stroller: HK$150 per day (HK$90 for eligible guests with disabilities).
Rain cover or stroller lock: HK$50 per day each.
Deposit: A refundable deposit of HK$100 per item is required and can be redeemed when all items are returned with the rental ticket by the end of the day.
Availability: Rentals are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and reservations are not allowed.

Making your travel plans for 2025? If you are, we have some great news for you! Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong’s flag carrier, has announced its plans to reopen its direct flights between Hong Kong and Rome, Italy, this summer.
This marks Cathay Pacific’s 12th European destination, adding to the airline’s goal of serving 100 global destinations this year.
To officially relaunch on June 5, the Hong Kong-Rome route will be a three-times-a-week summer seasonal service, operating every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday until Oct. 25. The flights will be operated using the airline’sAirbus A350-900 aircraft, equipped with fully flat beds in its business cabins, and spacious seats in premium economy and economy cabins.
The Hong Kong-Rome route launch comes in time with the Catholic Church’s celebration of the 2025 Year of Jubilee, which is expected to see a slew of events and celebrations in Vatican City and Rome throughout the year.
Aside from Rome, the airline is also set to launch direct flights to new cities, including Hyderabad in March, Dallas in April, Munich in June, and Brussels in August. Hong Kong's low-cost carrier, HK Express, will also be opening flights to Sendai this month.
Commenting on the launch, Cathay Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau said in a press release, “We know our customers have been eagerly anticipating the return of this route, and we are delighted to be returning to Italy’s marvelous capital this summer. Whether they are traveling for business, leisure, or the 2025 Jubilee celebrations, we look forward to welcoming customers onboard our flights to experience our world-class service.”

Festive Park Attractions
For the First Time in Forever: Christmas at World of Frozen

Christmas is even more heartwarming “when we’re together” and the World of Frozen shows just that as the Kingdom of Arendelle gets all decked out for the holiday season!
Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and the rest of the kingdom have been working together to transform the village and forest into a sparkling winter wonderland! As you walk into the World of Frozen, you can see Olaf along with the adorable Snowgies on a sleigh full of festive treats as they carry the yule bell to Arendelle Castle. Before riding “Frozen Ever After,” you’ll be able to spot a beautiful music box showcasing an ice crystal sculpture of Anna and Elsa ice skating.
Throughout the holidays, guests will be able to see Elsa and Anna wearing their winter royal attire as seen in “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” short feature, and catch the Carolers of Arendelle as they share local customs while singing some merry tunes.

To bring a little ice magic into the celebrations, guests can also create snowy displays for the Friendship Fountain, the clock tower, and Arendelle Castle using the Hong Kong Disneyland mobile app’s new interactive Magic AR feature.
Christmas wouldn’t be complete without frozen treats, and this year a new Arendelle Festive Christmas Combo meal will be served at Golden Crocus Inn, which features a steak skillet, salad, and dessert. The land’s frozen treat store, Northern Delights, will also be serving a new Olaf Soft Serve and OlafHot Chocolate, as well as an Elsa Yuzu Chocolate Cupcake.
Hong Kong Disneyland is also releasing seasonal merchandise at the Tick Tock Toys & Collectibles to celebrate the season and the World of Frozen’s first anniversary. Featured collectibles include the Olaf Stocking, Snowgie wreath, banners, and ornaments!
“A Holiday Wish-Come-True” Tree Lighting Ceremony

Hong Kong Disneyland’s illuminating tradition returns brighter than ever with the “Holiday Wish-Come-True” Tree Lighting Ceremony! Join Santa Goofy as he leads Christmas Carolers into a spectacle of light and song under the towering Christmas tree at Town Square along Main Street, U.S.A.
As the cool night air fills with classic Christmas melodies, Santa Goofy will give guests a show to remember as he fills the sky with magical Christmas patterns shaped by glimmering dancing drones! Christmas doesn’t get any cooler than this!
Mickey and Friends Christmastime Ball Show

Prepare to be dazzled as this popular daytime show returns, inviting guests to dance and swing with holiday cheer!
Catch Mickey and Friends as they throw their traditional Christmas partyat the Castle of Magical Dreams along with singers and dancers performing holiday hits that will surely have kids and the young-at-heart dancing with joy. You can also catch your favorite characters like Duffy and Friends clad in their festive attires.
The show runs three times a day at 12:45 PM, 3 PM, and 4:45 PM at the castle hub stage.
“Disney Christmas Live in Concert!”

Starting late November, hear the herald angels sing as familiar Christmas tunes ring out across the park from the magnificent Castle of Magical Dreams! For three consecutive weekends the "Disney Christmas Live in Concert!" returns, featuring regional superstars that will grace the stage to perform with Mickey and Friends, as well as the Hong Kong Children’s Choir.
Gin Lee, Morissette, and Janice Yan will be covering iconic Disney songs and taking guests on a magical journey of classic Disney tales. It’s a Christmas experience you wouldn’t want to miss!

“New Year's Eve Countdown Moment”

End the holiday season with a bang and gather in front of the Castle of Magical Dreams as the sky illuminates with an explosion of color, light, music, and memories.
Following the “Momentous” nighttime spectacular, Disney Friends will take to the stage to count down to midnight as more fireworks and impressive drones dance across the night sky.

The spirit of the season can be felt across all attractions and offerings of the Hong Kong Disneyland Park, and that includes seasonal menus and merchandise.
