Maya, SEC Join Hands to Boost Financial Literacy in the Philippines
Maya, one of the leading digital banking applications in the Philippines, announces its partnership with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to raise financial literacy in the country.
In a recently held Memorandum of Agreement Signing Ceremony, Maya officially onboarded the SEC’s Capital Market Promotion and Awareness Inter-Agency Network (CAMPAIGN) group, the commission’s network of agencies and companies dedicated to providing Filipinos with knowledge on finance.
Maya joins fintech companies like G-Xchange and BDO Foundation and government agencies such as the Department of Migrant Workers and the Department of the Interior and Local Government in the network.
The partnership will see the strengthening of SEC’s CAN (Communication, Advocacy, and Network) Initiative, which aims to empower Filipinos with know-hows on smart investing and eliminate their vulnerability to scams.
Launched in 2020, SEC’s CAMPAIGN originally had 11 partner organizations. Today, the network has more than 100 partners, further expanding the reach of its financial literacy programs.
