Nadine, Rei, and Marj On Beauty, Confidence, and Self-Love with SNAILWHITE

SNAILWHITE’s Glowing Goddess Nadine Lustre, along with YouTube Lifestyle Content Creator Rei Germar and TikTok Beauty Star Marj Maroket, graced the stage for the "Nadine x SNAILWHITE Summer Fan Meet & Glow" at One Ayala Mall on May 25 to share their secrets to keeping their radiance from the inside out.
The event kicked off at around 1:30 PM. During the event, the trio were asked several questions regarding beauty and confidence. The host asked a question about how they can stay confident while handling negativity online, Rei answered “I try to put a fine line between the constructive criticisms and those [that are just] unsolicited comments.”
As for Nadine, she shared that she used to reply to these hateful comments for fun before, but then she realized that people would say anything about your life. She said, “At this point, it’s hard to determine if it’s really constructive criticism or if this person is just being mean, you know. So, I think, now, I just don’t deal with it. [Like] I know myself, I know what I’m doing – I mean, I make mistakes, but as long as those mistakes are not something that hurts other people, then I’m totally fine with that.”
For a brand that promotes embracing and loving your true self, the host also asked how SNAILWHITE helped these ladies feel confident. For Rei, she felt seen when she started working with the brand in 2019. According to her, she was their “darkest” ambassador at that time, and she was happy to be a part of a skincare brand even though her skin tone wasn’t that fair. Marj shared that she was able to find products that work for her through SNAILWHITE.
Meanwhile, Nadine answered “What I love about SNAILWHITE is that SNAILWHITE is very inclusive. You know, when I started working with them, they loved my skin, the color of my skin, you know they loved that I was always in Siargao [and] out in the sun. [Because usually], with some of the brands, they’re really particular with the skin color, with the skin texture – which, I mean okay, people who are blessed, have that, but not everyone does.”
She also added that she loves that the brand is supportive of her endeavors and how they are all for different kinds of beauty – to which Rei replied with how much she appreciates SNAILWHITE for celebrating all kinds of women the way they are. With the brand, she feels like she doesn’t have to conceal her tattoo and change herself.

For the directed question session, Nadine was asked how she uses her platform to empower others. She replied, “Whatever I share online, that’s the real me.” She also acknowledged that a lot of people look up to her, so she tries her best to be real on social media.
“It’s hard not to give in to pressure if you don’t like yourself, so I did a lot of inner work – I had to work on myself to like what I see,” says Marj when asked about how she dealt with societal standards for beauty and confidence as a beauty influencer.
After that, guests were invited to join the Glow Panel Discussion, where they could ask for tips and stories related to staying glowing inside out from the three women. The Beat Manila asked, “Everyone’s skin is unique, so what advice would you give someone who wants to find the right approach to achieve their own glow?”
Nadine advised the audience to try products out since everyone’s skin reacts differently to different products. Rei followed with “Most of SNAILWHITE’s products come in small packaging, like in sachets, so you guys can try it out first and not fully commit yet. If it works, then go ahead and buy the full size.”
For Marj, she answered, “It’s important to know your skin type because what works for me won’t necessarily work for you.” She also advised people to follow content creators and experts with similar skin types and try researching to better understand what works for them.
The event featured a lot of fun activities for everyone. Fans who won the meet and greet were able to take pics with Nadine. Meanwhile, guests were able to take home a bunch of SNAILWHITE products by scooping like a claw machine in a pool of balls! There was also a cute photo booth and a dedicated area where people could buy the products at a discounted price.
