Casting Call Alert! Chito Miranda Opens Auditions for PNE Musical in 2024

Calling all musical dreamers! Here’s an exciting opportunity to be a part of Parokya ni Edgar’s (PNE) upcoming theater musical “Buruguduystunstugudunstuy,” scheduled for a grand premiere in 2024 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater’s marquee, lead vocalist Chito Miranda announced on Sept. 11.

The nationwide auditions are open to individuals aged 18 to 50 who can sing and dance. Those interested in online auditions must submit a video showcasing their vocal prowess with a 16-bar performance of any Parokya ni Edgar tracks. You may submit it to [email protected] by Oct.1.

After completing the online application, an in-person audition will be held from Oct. 16-18. Successful candidates from the initial screening will receive an invitation for the final callback auditions scheduled for Oct. 14-26.

“Buruguduystunstugudunstuy” is a nostalgic journey back to 1997, when Parokya ni Edgar released their second album of the same name. This album features timeless hits such as "Silvertoes," "Harana," "Sayang," and "Please Don't Touch My Birdie," among others.
