Starring Benedix Ramos as Erik, Alex Diaz as Chris, Jerom Canlas as Torran, Omar Uddin as Josh, and Sheila Francisco as Justice Hernandez, the musical follows the lives of four young men as they navigate the demanding world of law school in the Philippines. The Short and Brief Plays Festival is having a spectacular return to live theater with six original musicals, each crafted by first-time composers, directors, and theatre makers. Set in the 1950s, "BALETE" tells the story of a young boy who grew up in the town of Rosales, Pangasinan. The narrative unfolds as he witnesses the weakening relationship between the ruling class and those subjugated under their control, particularly under the influence of Don Vicente Asperri.
