As Hong Kong gears up to host Asia's 50 Best Bars annual awards ceremony, establishments across the city are preparing to welcome top-tier bartenders and industry luminaries. Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong, is set to present a memorable mixology experience with Volkan Ibil, Beverage Manager from The Back Room at Shangri-La The Fort, Manila.

Volkan Ibil, whose bar claimed the 51st spot on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2021 list, will showcase his extraordinary cocktail crafting skills from July 19 to 20. With over twenty years in the industry, Volkan infuses regional and local flavours into his unique creations. His cocktails embody the culture, with each drink serving as an immersive journey into his expertise.

Guests can sample signature cocktails including the Great Wall, Lion Milk, Sweet Liberty, Zeyprysha, and Mexcales 1619, tailored for Island Shangri-La.

The Great Wall, a unique blend of Monkey Shoulder whisky with Osmanthus Fino Sherry Wine, grapefruit bitters, and soda water, exemplifies the fusion of a traditional Chinese palate with modern innovation.

The Mexcales 1619, a refreshing blend of Mezcal, shochu, kimchi, and Lemon Sherbet, is sure to captivate guests as a refreshing summery tipple.

With the arrival of Enrico Gonzato as the new Bar Manager of the Lobster Bar, this celebration is a gathering of the region's finest mixologists not to miss.
