Add a five-day food crawl to your holiday plans this December.

The 24th Hong Kong Food Festival will run from Dec. 24 to 28, 2026, at Hall 3 of the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), bringing six themed food zones under one roof for the Christmas season.

Gathering food brands from Hong Kong and overseas, the festival offers categories ranging from familiar snacks to drinks, and even wellness-focused products. Buckle up because it's guaranteed to be a big one. Organizers, after all, bill it as December's largest indoor food carnival and boast that the annual event attracts more than a million visitors each year.

The six food zones cover Japanese, Korean, and Taiwanese food and local snacks; international cuisine, wine, coffee, and desserts; Southeast Asian specialties; Chinese Festive food, grain and oil, and dried seafood area; health, wellness, and vegetarian area; and a Premium Brand Zone.

It's a loaded lineup, built to give you everything you need from snack-stockpiling, experimenting with other regional flavors, gifting to family and friends, and refilling pantry essentials.

For brands interested in snagging a booth, exhibitor registration is now open across all six themed zones. With hundreds of thousands of people looking to make the holidays special, organizers are encouraging brands to take part and not miss the opportunity to showcase their brand to international visitors as well.

The Hong Kong Food Festival will also share the holiday crowd with three concurrent exhibitions: HK Mega Showcase, HK Homex, and e-Expo & Auto HK. Founded in 2023 by French-Mexican chef Natalia Morales and entrepreneur Javier Ezquerro, the fast-growing Madrid-born brand has expanded across 17 countries with 290 signed franchises in cities including New York, Paris, London, Miami, and Mexico City. Now, it's bringing its signature take on frozen yogurt to Wellington Street.

What sets MYKA apart is its ingredient-first approach. Instead of relying on industrial powdered mixes, its frozen yogurt is made with authentic Greek yogurt and goat’s milk kefir, using live cultures and strained yogurt to achieve a rich, creamy texture. The Hong Kong flagship follows the same standards as its international stores, sourcing premium ingredients such as Sicilian pistachios, Madagascar vanilla, orange blossom honey, and high-quality cocoa.

The new Central location also houses an in-house production kitchen, where both the frozen yogurt and toppings are prepared fresh daily. Alongside the Original Greek Frozen Yogurt, customers can expect rotating seasonal flavors and a lineup of house-made toppings including fleur de sel chocolate crumble, reduced-sugar baklava, praliné crunch, and artisanal fruit compotes.

Every bite is a mix of soft, chewy, creamy, and crunchy textures, with that unmistakable Ovaltine flavor running through it all.

McDonald’s x G-DRAGON Brings New Burgers & Exclusive Merch to Hong Kong

Just weeks before G-DRAGON’s highly anticipated return to Hong Kong for BIGBANG's three-day concert at Kai Tak Stadium this November, the K-pop icon is giving fans another reason to line up, this time at McDonald’s. The fast-food giant has officially launched its collaboration with G-DRAGON and his fashion label PEACEMINUSONE, bringing a Korean-inspired menu and a collection of limited-edition merch to the city as part of a rollout spanning 13 Asian markets.

The food lineup centers on a new Gochujang Butter Sauce developed by McDonald’s Korea. In Hong Kong, fans can try it in the new McCrispy with Gochujang Butter Sauce, which pairs a crispy Cajun-seasoned chicken thigh fillet with the sweet, savory, and spicy Korean-inspired sauce. The sauce is also available as a dip for Chicken McNuggets. Meanwhile, those who prefer extra heat can opt for the McSpicy burger version.

Of course, the collaboration extends beyond burgers. Diners can upgrade to the Jumbo Combo series for an extra HK$9.50, which includes large McShaker Fries with Korean Bulgogi or Honey Butter seasoning powder and a Jeju Mandarin Punch with Mini Nata de Coco.

For dessert, there’s an OREO McFlurry with Sweetheart and Bite-sized Salted Caramel Churros. Selected items also arrive in packaging decorated with PEACEMINUSONE’s signature daisy motif, complete with the missing petal.

Collectors will want to mark their calendars, too, as limited "I’M M FAN" collector cards will drop on Sept. 21 from 11 AM, followed by exclusive merchandise on Sept. 23 from 11 AM.

The merch lineup includes the same retro cap seen in G-DRAGON’s "TOO BAD" music video, a set of enamel pins showcasing the MCD heart logo, McDonald’s fries, and the PEACEMINUSONE daisy, plus a tote bag combining the Golden Arches with PEACEMINUSONE branding.

Mid-Autumn K-Festival Brings Korean Food & Culture to Central Market

A taste of Korea is coming to the heart of Central this Mid-Autumn Festival season as Mid-Autumn K-Festival Week takes over Central Market from Sept. 21-27, 2026. Inspired by Korea's Chuseok harvest celebrations, the week-long festival brings together Korean food, culture, beauty, music, and interactive experiences across all three floors of the historic venue.

Food is firmly at the center of the festivities, with the G/F Oasis welcoming visitors to enjoy free K-food tastings, live cooking shows, celebrity chef appearances, sunset music sessions, guest bartender shifts, K-pop DJ parties, and taekwondo performances throughout the week.

One of the biggest draws is the Hong Kong debut of Monk Sunjae, the Korean Temple Food master featured on Netflix's "Culinary Class Wars " Season 2, who will host a live demonstration and share her philosophy of food as medicine through traditional temple cuisine on Sept. 24.

The star-studded culinary lineup continues with Netflix stars Chef Park Joon-woo and Chef Lim Hee-won, who will showcase French-Korean fusion dishes and modern takes on Korean ingredients on Sept. 26 and 27, respectively.

Visitors can also sign up for hands-on masterclasses with local chefs including Chef Jun, who will teach participants how to make Crab Meat Gimbap and a seasonal Korean fruit tart, and Chef Owen Lau, who is known for his creative Hong Kong-meets-Korea interpretations.

On top of these, guests can also expect free 1++ Hanwoo beef tastings, Yoajung frozen yogurt giveaways by completing a quest card, K-beauty workshops with samples and giveaways, a marketplace on the second floor featuring trending Korean brands and products, traditional Bojagi gift wrapping, and a festive Full Moon Party on Sept. 25.

Urban Brew Summit 2026 Brings Japanese Coffee into Hong Kong

Coffee lovers, clear your calendars: Urban Brew Summit 2026 returns to The Mills in Tsuen Wan for two long weekends, bringing Japanese specialty coffee, local favorites, and enough tasting opportunities to fuel your love for the drink.

Organized by The Mills and Biugorbiumui (BGBM), the summit runs from Sept. 24 to 27 and Oct. 1 to 4, 2026, from noon to 8:30 PM. This year's expanded event features more than 30 local coffee, dessert, and lifestyle brands, alongside a ticketed "Overseas Coffee Experience" featuring 10 Japanese brands from Tokyo, Hayama, Kanazawa, and Okinawa.

The main local market at M6 1/F is free and open to the public, while the "Overseas Coffee Experience" is at the atrium on M4 1/F and requires a separate ticket.

An HK$220 Urban Pass includes three 80-milliliter coffee tastings and a limited-edition tasting cup. For those who want to do a little retail therapy, an early-bird bundle costs HK$350 (discounted from HK$400) and adds a mystery gift bag. Just 200 early-bird sets are available online via this link.

Possible gifts include 100 grams of Japanese coffee beans, a Dark Arts Coffee Japan T-shirt, a box of selected drip bags, a cap or other merchandise, and coffee goods from participating Japanese brands.

Week one features Dark Arts Coffee Japan, ACID COFFEE Tokyo, CAFEC by Sanyo Sangyo, High-Five Coffee Stand, Coffee Etomoiri, Nonstop Coffee Stand & Roastery, and Black Cat Coffee. Week two brings back ACID Coffee Tokyo and Black Cat Coffee, joined by RedPoison, Shinkirou Coffee, and the;kokubo.

To keep the experience comfortable for guests, each suggested entry session is limited to 40 tickets. Visitors should check in around 10 to 15 minutes before their selected session at the Check-In Lounge at The Annex M01C, M/F. The suggested time is for crowd management rather than a guaranteed entry time, and admission remains subject to on-site capacity.

Outside the ticketed zone, there's still plenty to sip and browse. With 30-plus local brands at the free market, Urban Brew Summit 2026 offers a simple proposition: come for the coffee, stay for the coffee, and maybe, leave with more coffee on hand.

The city's dessert lovers have another sweet reason to get excited this year. American soft-serve giant Dairy Queen is officially making its return to Hong Kong this November, marking its comeback decades after its brief stint in Causeway Bay in 1979 when various American fast-food chains first entered the market.

The brand will kick off its Hong Kong revival with a flagship store at One Causeway Bay on Gloucester Road, while a second confirmed outlet is set to open at lifestyle, shopping, and entertainment hub The ANGLE in Kwun Tong. Two additional locations across the New Territories and the outlying islands are also planned, with further details expected soon.

Known around the world for its signature soft-serve cone and legendary Blizzard treats, Dairy Queen has built a devoted following thanks to its thick ice cream creations packed with cookie, candy, and brownie mix-ins. The Blizzard remains one of the chain's most iconic menu items, famous for being served upside down to prove just how thick it is.

The upcoming openings are only the beginning, though. Under plans announced by International Dairy Queen, operator Shanghai Dairy Queen Limited aims to open 60 DQ restaurants in Hong Kong before 2034, so expect more branches in the coming years!

PMQ Flockfest 2026 Brings Craft Beer and Live Music to Central

If your ideal weekend involves a glass of cold craft beer and live music, PMQ Flockfest 2026 should already be marked on your calendar this week. The three-day craft beer and music festival runs from Sept. 11 to 13, 2026 at PMQ's Courtyard & Marketplace on the ground floor, with free admission throughout.

Organized and presented by Black Kite Brewery, Flockfest brings together four Hong Kong breweries and four Japanese breweries in a "4-by-4" collaboration. The Hong Kong lineup includes the organizers themselves, Deadman Brewery, Heroes Beer Co., and Yardley Brothers, alongside Japan's Black Tide Brewery, DD4D Brewery, Far Yeast Brewing, and Shizuoka-based West Coast Brewing.

Together, these craft breweries will introduce eight limited-edition collaboration beers, plus signature brews and exclusive flavors. In other words, there's plenty to explore even if you attend all three days of the festival. Flockfest also features curated food pairings, with four local food stalls offering special menus and beer-pairing recommendations.

Flockfest, however, is not strictly a drinking affair. The program includes 13 live music acts spanning indie rock, R&B, and alternative — a music lineup that, like the beer counterpart, also bridges the culture between the two locations. Interactive sessions will also give beer enthusiasts the chance to meet master brewers from Hong Kong and Japan, while pop-up stores and creative workshops ensure there's plenty more to do, like shopping and getting crafty.

The festival runs from 5 to 10 PM on Friday, 12 NN to 10 PM on Saturday, and 12 NN to 5 PM on Sunday. Admission is free, while visitors can pre-book an event beer package that includes limited-edition glassware and other perks. Klook packages are also available, with exclusive merch.

There's a lot packed into this weekend at the PMQ for both dedicated craft beer fans and curious enthusiasts alike. If you want a weekend plan that involves a little something more than a drink invite, Flockfest can give you both the drink and the entertainment.
