Byoru, Lia Bear, More Cosplay Guests to See at Otakufest 2023 in Cebu
Cebuano otakus, get ready to take over the Queen City of the South and experience an amazing hobby convention this weekend. The Otakufest 2023 is happening at SM Seaside Cebu on June 24-25.
Last March, Otakufest announced its official guests in the cosplay meet and greet, guest performers, and tournament competitions, as well as local artists who will be present at this year’s convention.
On cosplay, all-access pass holders’ meet and greets include Ashen Kei, Byoru, Seanpai Sen, Diane Sabandeja, and Lia Bear, as well as VTubers Kamiya Juu and Kaheru.
The all-access pass for Otakufest includes an exclusive one-on-one photoshoot, Q&A session participation, signed photocards, and a personalized physical event ticket.
Unfortunately, pre-order tickets for both events are no longer available, although you can still secure a spot when you come early on the convention day. Ticket rates for walk-ins are priced at P230, P115 for seniors and children aged seven and below, and are free of charge for those aged two and under.
Included in the live stage events are competitions, game segments, and intermission numbers. For competitions, you can participate in various cosplay categories (solo, Chibi, and pet), Asian Pop Dance, Japanese singing, one-shot manga, original character design, Gunpla building, and card games.
For art enthusiasts and creatives alike, you may want to support local talents by purchasing their works at the Artist Alley exhibitors, including Jellybeanz, Xteve Abanto, Teariee, Pixel Totodyle, Ayinvui, Blucloud_san, Daawie, Kapoya Design, Guyabanoh, Spawfin, and more.
