Filipina Teen Racer Bianca Bustamante Bags Second F1 Academy Trophy
Good news, sports fans! After her historic victory in Valencia, Spain last May, up-and-coming racer Bianca Bustamante secured her second career win and emerged as the fastest driver in Race 3 at Monza.
“I’m really really happy with the result and hearing the Philippine National Anthem made it more special. Furthermore, the Italian fans cheering us on at our team’s home race made it so amazing!” Bianca said.
This is her second consecutive podium finish, as she had secured a P2 position in Race 2. It’s an impressive comeback for her after facing challenges in Barcelona, Spain and Zandvoort, Netherlands.
She started from second place and managed to stay ahead of her closest rival, Abbi Pulling of Rodin Carlin Racing, with a great move on the Curva Grande of Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
“PREMA gave me a great car [and] I think we were able to show the pace we had this weekend,” she said.
The final stage of this year’s F1 Academy series will take place in Austin, Texas from Oct. 20-22. Visit PREMA’s official website for the latest updates.
