Jasmine Yen Debuts with Pop-R&B Single ‘idk’ and Signs to RCA Records

Jasmine Yen, the 19-year-old singer-songwriter and daughter of prolific actor Donnie Yen, has signed to RCA Record, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. The Hong Kong native has already written over 70 original songs and is set to make her debut performance at Majulah Music Night in Singapore on July 30.

Jasmine's first single, titled "idk," is a light-hearted yet powerful pop-infused R&B tune. The song chronicles her journey of self-discovery, exploring the importance of autonomy and self-love.

The single is slated to be one of eight tracks on Yen’s debut album, set to drop on Sept. 1, with the lead single “tbh.”

Through her music, Yen hopes to deploy a message of empowerment to other young girls: follow your heart, and don't sacrifice your joy for someone else. By singing to them to ‘put themselves first,’ the song is an ode to building healthy and fulfilling relationships.

Jasmine's debut single is available for streaming here.
