South Korea’s First Hamburger Restaurant Lotteria Opens First SG Outlet

South Korea’s number one burger chain, Lotteria, has finally made its Singapore debut — opening in one of the city’s most iconic locations!

Now open at the Jewel Changi Airport, just along the Rain Vortex, Lotteria Singapore is bringing the burger chain’s signature Korean-style fast food dining to local diners and travelers alike. Known for blending classic burgers with bold Korean flavors, the brand has built a massive following across South Korea and beyond.

Lotteria first opened in South Korea in 1979, taking its place in history as the country’s first modern quick-service restaurant. Since then, the brand has expanded across Asia, with outlets in Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar.

Fans can expect Lotteria’s signature menu, such as the Ria’s Bulgogi Burger (from S$7.20) and the crave-worthy Ria’s Shrimp Burger (from S$7.20), the Singapore-exclusiveKimchi Bulgogi Burger (from S$7.80), and the Mozzarella Burger Tomato Basil (S$12.50), a collab item with Culinary Class Wars Season 1 winner Kwon Sung-joon, or Napoli Matfia.

Hong Kong’s cult-favorite neighborhood café Elephant Grounds has finally opened its first flagship outlets in Singapore and Jakarta!

Founded in 2013, Elephant Grounds is Leading Nation Hospitality Group’s flagship café brand, known for its sophisticated blend of specialty coffee with a relaxed, community-driven atmosphere. Starting off as a small kiosk in Sheung Wan, the brand has grown to be one of Hong Kong’s most celebrated café names, renowned for its special in-house roasted beans, Japanese-inspired menus, and artisanal pastries.

With its “Coffee n Chill” ethos, Elephant Grounds reflects Leading Nation’s commitment to building neighborhood culture across Asia.

Newly opened at Singapore’s Guoco Midtown Network Hub, the flagship café features Elephant Grounds’ signature bright, nature-inspired design. It offers a full all-day dining program, house-made ice cream, and pastries baked fresh daily in an on-site kitchen — the first dedicated production facility outside Hong Kong.

If you love visiting Jigger & Pony but want to try something new, Uno Jang has something just right up your alley — in the heart of Singapore’s “Korea Town.”

BOP (Bartenders of Pony), a Korean-inspired cocktail dining bar by Jigger & Pony Group officially opened on Jan. 31, 2026, at 76 Tras Street, just steps away from its sister bar Jigger & Pony.

Blending craft cocktails with bold Korean flavors, this new space is designed for relaxed evenings, shared plates, and long conversations. BOP aims to balance refined mixology with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that’ll easily transport visitors to Itaewon and Hongdae.

The bar is led by head bartender Uno Jang, together with Berry Lim, Basil Wong, Eric Chang, Max Gan, and Brandon Gan, bringing together a team known for its generous and convivial approach to guests.

BOP’s cocktail menu is centered around Korean pop culture and drinking rituals, highlighting Korean traditional spirits like soju, cheongju, and makgeolli. Expect drinks inspired by buldak noodles, Dalgona iced coffee, and even a perilla garden, for S$23 per cocktail.

The food also shares the same concept, which was formulated in collaboration with Culinary Class Wars Season 1 alum Chef Jason Oh. Visitors can expect Korean favorites such as Kimchi Pork Mandu, Crispy Fried Chicken, and Seafood Pancake, which complement the beverages perfectly.

Chatterbox has unveiled its 2026 Lunar New Year merchandise line, launching a new festive cookie collection alongside a limited-edition tableware line created in collaboration with SupeMama Singapore and local artist Messymsxi.

Aptly timed for the Year of the Horse, the collections will be available for purchase from early January at all Chatterbox locations.

Now in its third year, the collaboration introduces the “Island Bloom Collection,” a series of collector-style bone China pieces inspired by Singapore’s landscapes. The plateware is adorned with richly illustrated botanicals, native birds, and the lush greenery that shape the city’s landscapes, priced from S$22 to S$36, with the full set retailing at S$108.

A brand-new year brings in another one filled with prosperity and luck!

McDonald’s Singapore is welcoming the Lunar New Year with the return of its Prosperity menu, alongside a few new festive additions that are oh so huat!

From Jan. 22, 2026, the seasonal menu brings back popular favorites, including the Prosperity Beef Burger, Prosperity Chicken Burger, and Prosperity Twister Fries. Joining the lineup this year is the new Fortune Prosperity Beef Burger with Egg and its chicken variation, offering its iconic peppery Prosperity sauce and sandwiched with a golden egg.

McDonald’s Members will get early access starting Jan. 26, 2026, at 3 PM, with a full set available for redemption at 2,688 points via the McDonald’s App!

This Lunar New Year, Martell is galloping into the Year of the Horse with limited edition designs of the Martell Cordon Bleu and Martell VSOP, alongside a festive pop-up experience titled “The House of Martell” at ION Orchard’s B4 Indoor Atrium from February 5 to 12, 2026.

Inspired by the Chinese New Year tradition of house-visiting (拜年 bài nián), “The House of Martell” pop up opens its doors as a warm welcoming home and invites guests into a curated journey of art, culture, and craftsmanship—from sculptural installations and calligraphy keepsakes to exclusive tastings and treats. Entry to the pop up is complimentary and is open from 11 AM to 9:30 PM.

The limited-edition bottles are designed in collaboration with globally celebrated Chinese artist He Datian, whose expressive works and fluid brushwork capture the spirit and vitality of the horse, appearing across the Martell Cordon Bleu and Martell VSOP bottles. Rendered in vibrant red and electric blue with refined gold accents, the designs offer a contemporary yet auspicious expression for festive gifting.

At the pop up, visitors can explore The Martell Cellar, where Martell’s most exceptional creations and rarest exceptions are housed. A highlight is the L’Or de Jean Martell Zodiac Edition – Assemblage du Cheval, limited to just 500 bottles worldwide, and is released annually in celebration of the zodiac animal of the year. Past editions of the rare expression can also be seen at the pop-up.

The limited-edition Martell Cordon Bleu and Martell VSOP bottles will be available at The House of Martell from February 5 to 12, and at selected retailers islandwide, including FairPrice and the Pernod Ricard official store on Shopee.

The St. Regis Singapore, long celebrated as the city’s best address, has finally reopened, ushering in a new chapter for the House of Astor.

Following its extensive, multi-phase renovation, which included the reimagining of its guestrooms, suites, signature restaurants and bar, and event spaces, the luxury landmark has unveiled three new concepts—Sophia, The St. Regis Bar, and The Tea Room—each reflecting the brand’s legendary heritage through a modern lens.

Leading the charge is Sophia, a new Italian restaurant helmed by Chef de Cuisine Angelo Sergio, showcasing beloved recipes from 11 regions of Italy with a contemporary refinement. Highlights include artisanal dishes like Tagliatelle Atavi e Porcini and Bistecca alla Florentina, as well as house tiramisu based on a family recipe. Weekends bring a vibrant Sunday Brunch, featuring a mozzarella bar, gelato cart, Tiramisu cart, and free-flowing R de Ruinart Brut Champagne, accompanied by a live jazz band.

At St. Regis Bar, Head Bartender Kelvin Saquilayan debuts the bar’s new “Time After Time” cocktail menu, inspired by New York’s past decades with a Singaporean twist. Signature creations include the Merlion Sling, Disco-tea-que, and The Straits Mary—a local reinvention of the St. Regis Bloody Mary infused with Bak Kwa bourbon and assorted spices.

Completing the trio is The Tea Room, a light-filled destination redefining the St. Regis Afternoon tea ritual first introduced by Mrs. Caroline Astor in 19th-century New York. Drawing inspiration from the Singapore Botanic Gardens, guests can expect tableside tea service from a tea sommelier, with a scone trolley carrying an assortment of unlimited scones, assorted jams, and clotted cream, and exquisite pastries and viennoiseries from the adjacent Patisserie.

Altogether, the three concepts anchor a new culinary chapter for The St. Regis Singapore, one that honors the brand’s heritage while welcoming modern sophistication.

Odette Reopens, Ushering a New Season of Modern French Dining in Singapore

French restaurant Odette has reopened at the National Gallery Singapore, unveiling a new chapter that both honors its first decade and embraces the future. Still rooted in modern French cuisine, the restaurant now leans towards a lighter, more layered expression shaped by the Asian influences that have formed Chef-Owner Julien Royer’s culinary journey.

The refreshed menu revisits Odette’s signatures through a more contemporary lens. Standouts include the Hokkaido Botan Ebi with yuzu-kosho, dashi jelly, and caviar, alongside Crab Contrast, where a Norwegian king crab is served two ways — including a subtle nod to the Singaporean chili crab.

Beloved classics also remain, like the Kampot Pepper Crusted Pigeon, prepared with peppercorns sourced from Kampot Jewels in Cambodia, and the Jeju Abalone and Foie Gras Duo, served in a yuzu-inflected pork broth.

Desserts by Pastry Chef Louisa Lim continue the narrative, from the bright and citrus-forward LOULOU Lemon to a refined Hazelnut Délice inspired by the traditional Mont Blanc with Piedmont hazelnuts at the reins. Complementing the food is an expanded beverage menu developed by Beverage Specialist Haikel Bin Abdullah, offering seasonal, alcohol-free pairings designed with the same care as its wine pairings.

The Oolong was designed to pair with the Hokkaido Botan Ebi, making for a lighter, more elegant pair that is still nuanced in complexity. For the main course, a beautiful ruby-hued Beetroot is intricately prepared with thinly sliced beetroot, which is roasted, cooled, and blended with koji, and later infused with thyme and pink peppercorn for two days.

To complement the warmth of the Jeju Abalone & Foie Gras Duo, the Lapsang has a beautifully rendered Chinese black tea with kombucha, imbued with ginger and lemongrass for a spicy, yet refreshing taste.

The reopening also reveals an updated interior by longtime collaborators Sacha Leong and Dawn Ng, introducing warmer tones, tactile materials, and a more intimate ambiance that honors the building’s historic character.

“This new season of Odette is about deepening what we’ve always believed in—respect for produce, provenance, and the people who bring it to life,” shared Chef Julien. “Today, we’re not starting over; we’re building on those foundations to create an experience that feels more intimate, more thoughtful, and more connected than ever before. Above all, every choice is anchored by the restaurant’s core mission of creating meaningful human connections and making guests feel cared for.”

Odette’s new season signals a new and confident step forward — one that stays true to its roots while embracing a more thoughtful and expressive future.

The restaurant offers a five-course “Terre & Mer” menu at S$368++ (lunch only), and a seven-course “Epicure” menu at S$498++. A five-course (lunch only) and a six-course vegetarian menu, “Nature & Découverte,” is also available at S$298++ and S$348++ respectively.
