Bamboo Thai Opens Largest Branch on Hong Kong Island in Wong Chuk Hang

Since its opening last June, Bamboo Thai in Wong Chuk Hang has become a favorite spot for Hong Kong Island diners. Located at THE SOUTHSIDE, this branch is the largest yet, offering over 4,200 sq. ft of chic, wood-clad interiors and a relaxing outdoor dining area.
The restaurant's welcoming bar and alfresco seating create an inviting atmosphere for up to 130 diners, making it the perfect spot to enjoy house signature cocktails as the sun sets. Building on the success of its three Kowloon locations, Bamboo Thai's expansion to Hong Kong Island offers an elevated dining experience to local foodies.
Bamboo Thai's interiors are a blend of traditional and contemporary design, highlighted by a lush mural from award-winning Japanese street artist TAXA. The artwork, featuring Thai flora and fauna, including a majestic statement tiger piece, adds a vibrant backdrop to the dining area.

Led by seasoned chefs from Thailand, the team brings the essence of Southeast Asian cuisine to life with a menu that showcases fresh seafood and aromatic spices. The "Crab-licious Treats" featuring Wok Fried Whole Crab (HK$468) with a choice of Chili Paste or Light Yellow Curry with Egg, are a hit among diners.
For those who enjoy sharing, the Appetizer Platter (HK$198) includes Spring Rolls, Prawn Rice Paper Rolls, Cuttlefish Cakes, Chicken Satay, and Fish Cakes with traditional dipping sauces. The Mountain of Pork Neck Bone (HK$158), with its slow-cooked pork ribs and tangy Thai herb and chili sauce, is an Instagram sensation.
Other menu highlights include Tom Yum Goong (HK$82), Tom Yum Chicken Wings (HK$75), Spicy Minced Pork with Lettuce (HK$88), and meat mains like Wok Fried Beef Tenderloin with Fresh Mango and Cherry Tomato (HK$178). Vegetarian options feature Impossible Meat stir-fried with seasonal vegetables or paired with Fried Rice (HK$98).

For dessert, the Thai Milk Tea Ice Cream with Young Coconut Meat, Toasted Peanuts, and Corn (HK$68) offers a refreshing end to the meal.
The bar, a focal point of the restaurant, serves house-signature spirits like Chili Infused Vodka and Mekong The Spirit of Thailand whisky. Signature cocktails, including the spicy Siam Mary (HK$108) and the fruity Bamboo Thai Peach Smash (HK$108), are favorites among patrons.
