Cathay Pacific Elevates In-Flight Dining with New Menu From Pirata Group
Cathay Pacific is elevating its in-flight dining offerings by partnering with Hong Kong restaurant operator Pirata Group for a brand-new menu that passengers departing from the city can enjoy.
Created by Pirata executive chef Emanuele Canuto, the menu encapsulates the nostalgic feeling of a Sunday family lunch in Italy, where meals are often served in shared platters to create a sense of togetherness.
Among the options are Caprese with tomato and bread salad for starters, and pork saltimbocca with mushroom jus and Calabrian-style orecchiette pasta with Italian sausage, ‘nduja and cherry tomatoes for mains.
To capture the true Italian dining experience, passengers can finish off their meal with a glass of premium DOCG Prosecco—classified under the Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin—from Italy’s Veneto region.
The new menu is available for Cathay Pacific’s Premium Economy outbound guests on long-haul flights and will be extended to medium-haul flights starting September.
