Falcone, Black Sheep’s Latest Napoletana-inspired Pizzeria is Coming to IFC
Restauranteur group Black Sheep has announced their soon-to-open, all-day pizzeria, Falcone.
Due to open in IFC this month, Falcone is inspired by the "chaos and beauty" of Napoli. The pizzeria promises to immerse diners in the region’s frenetic energy and simple food made using signature ingredients and cooking techniques from Campania's capital.
Falcone's menu explores culinary traditions throughout the Campania region, featuring pasta and a neo-Neapolitan style of pizza by the new generation of pizzaiolos.
Falcone is the result of a trip to Napoli where Black Sheep founder Syed Asim Hussain and his team discovered a new wave of pizza makers who dare to break the rules of tradition. "We fell in love with this thing and had to bring it back to Hong Kong," Hussain says.
Authentic Neapolitan pizza is strictly governed by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, but neo-Neapolitan pizza employs techniques, flavours, and ingredients outside of traditions.
The all-day pizzeria is described as energetic, colourful, and flamboyant, embodying the proud and welcoming spirit of the neo-Neapolitan movement.
