Japan’s Nana’s Green Tea Opens at Brand-New Airside Mall
Matcha lovers in Hong Kong have a new café to try with the anticipated opening of Japan’s Nana’s Green Tea at the brand-new Airside shopping mall in Kai Tak.
With 76 branches around the world, including 40 in Japan, Nana’s Green Tea is known for their matcha green tea powder infused with vitamins and antioxidants. It sources its powder from Yamamasa Koyamaen, a tea farm and studio in Kyoto that has been growing tea since the Edo period. Nana’s matcha-based drinks come in a host of flavours such as black sesame with mochi, chocolate crunch, and Warabimochi (jelly mochi) for their frappes, as well as red bean, chocolate, and brown sugar for their lattes.
Aside from beverages, Nana’s Green Tea also offers parfaits, soft serve, ice cream, pastries, salad, and rice bowls. Hong Kong is the latest addition to the café’s expanding network, with branches in Singapore, Taiwan, Canada, and the U.S.
The new Hong Kong outlet will be available at Airside, a 47-storey mixed-use commercial development in the up-and-coming Kowloon-side Central Business District of Kai Tak. The mall is set to open on Sept. 28.
