Resto Chain IHOP to Be Available in Hong Kong Via FoodPanda Starting Sept.
Pancake lovers, this one’s for you. American restaurant chain IHOP (International House of Pancakes) is ready to serve Hong Kongers starting next month through online food delivery platform, foodpanda.
Enjoy breakfast staples like pancakes, waffles, and French toasts any time of the day once IHOP opens for delivery on Sept. 1. Don’t miss out on their signature pancake stack in buttermilk flavour to kickstart your morning. Or brunches and afternoon snacks—we really don’t make the rules.
Launched in 1958 in the suburbs of Los Angeles, IHOP now has more than 1,800 branches worldwide. It entered the Asia-Pacific region in 2013 with a debut branch in the Philippines.
While IHOP’s entry into Hong Kong’s market will primarily be online, the move bodes well for the burgeoning demand for ghost kitchens. Induced by the pandemic, ghost kitchens are packaged as physical space for restaurant operators to prepare food for delivery.
