SHIP KEE Presents New Selection of Comfort Dishes for Winter

The chill in the air calls for hearty dishes and warm family gatherings, and Bib Gourmand recipientSHIP KEE delivers both with new winter additions to its menu, which can be enjoyed in their spacious venue or luxury private rooms.
Since relocating to Hopewell Center in September, this gem has been perfecting its upscale Cantonese offerings. Equal parts comforting and decadent, these new dishes will be available until Dec. 20, 2024.

For lovers of hairy crab, the Hand-Shredded Crab Meat and Roe with Tofu (HK$288) is a must-try. Featuring over three taels of roe and crab meat sourced from 2-3 whole crabs, this dish combines crab vinegar, ginger, and a rich homemade broth with silky tofu for a satisfying bite.

Another standout is the Steamed Pork and Taro Pot with Fermented Bean Curd (HK$188). Thai taro, with its natural sweetness, pairs beautifully with marinated pork, all steamed for two hours before being enriched with red fermented bean curd, garlic, and shallots for a heartwarming dish.

Meat lovers will appreciate the Pan-Fried Beef Short Ribs with Black Pepper (HK$228), where Angus beef is seared to golden perfection and slow-simmered for three hours with butter, black pepper, and aromatic vegetables, resulting in a melt-in-your-mouth experience.
Other winter additions include the savory Stir-Fried Preserved Pork Belly with Glutinous Rice (HK$168), and the fragrant Steamed Rice with Garlic Prawns and Grouper Belly Fillets (HK$368), which features fresh tiger prawns and grouper belly fillets hand-picked daily by the chef.

Aside from its new seasonal offerings, SHIP KEE recommends signature dishes like the Braised Eel with Layered Tofu and Pork Belly (HK$788; 48-hour advance order required), which showcases the tender meat of giant Thai eel, complemented with homemade roasted pork belly. The eel is deep-fried and braised alongside tofu sheets.

Another crowd pleaser is the Double-boiled Pork Tripe Stuffed with Whole Chicken and Peppercorns (HK$688 for 6 people, HK$1,288 for 12 people; 24-hour advance order required), a rich and fragrant soup base that is enhanced with traditional Chinese medicinal herbs.
