KFC SG’s Parmesan Truffle Chicken Is Back with New Sonic Seasoning

Untitled design 19 Photo by Website/KFC Singapore

All we want for Christmas is… the KFC Parmesan Truffle Chicken!

If that’s truly on your wish list then you’re in for a treat because KFC Singapore is bringing back this holiday season the beloved finger-lickin' good chicken drizzled with a truffle-infused cheese sauce and sprinkled with a ton of grated parmesan. The delicious fried chicken now comes with a dash of powdery cheese, which looks a lot like snowflakes. Talk about KFC giving us a White Christmas!

But that’s not the best part. While the eleven herbs and spices remain the brand’s best-kept secret, this crispy treat boasts a 12th secret ingredient called, “Sonic Seasoning.” KFC Singapore worked with neuroscientists and musicians from Nanyang Technological University to develop a remixed version of the popular Christmas song, “Jingle Bells,” to enhance its savory goodness!

According to their Facebook post, the festive tune is meant to elevate your senses and “amplify the cheesy umami and earthy truffle” flavors, making each bite tastier, crispier, and overall better with every note. You can listen to it here:

This upgraded chicken treat is available from S$4.60 as part of KFC’s festive menu. Other offerings this season include the Parmesan Truffle Burger (from S$8.20) — a Zinger fillet infused with a truffle cheese sauce, and the soft and chewy, ring-shaped Salted Caramel Mochi Ring (S$2.30) which is the best holiday dessert or snack you can wish for.

These items will be available from Nov. 27, 2024 to Jan. 1, 2025 for dine-in and takeaway at all KFC outlets, except KFC Sentosa and Singapore Zoo. You can also order them for delivery via GrabFood, FoodPanda, Deliveroo, and KFC Delivery.

Chick-fil-A to Open First Asia Outpost in Singapore in 2025

Untitled design 12 Photo by Chick-fil-A

Gather round, chicken lovers! The popular American chicken sandwich chain, Chick-fil-A is finally coming to Asia!

The third largest fast-food restaurant chain in the United States known for their original chicken sandwiches and waffle fries is opening their first restaurant in Singapore in late 2025, marking its entry into Asia. The brand also announced last Oct. 17 that this will begin the 10-year investment of US$75 million as part of its expansion plans.

Last June 2024, Chick-fil-A hosted a three-day pop-up event in Singapore at the Esplanade. This helped introduce the brand to the community and allowed the company to gain a deeper understanding of guest preferences in the region. Tickets sold out quickly, as more than a thousand customers came to enjoy their iconic Original Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich.

An interesting tidbit about the event was that they didn’t charge for the food. Instead, customers were asked to donate SG$10 to the Community Chest fund, the philanthropy and engagement arm of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS). The pop-up generated SG$30,000.

Chick-fil-A Singapore

“The profound love that Singaporeans have for food as well as the city’s strategic position as a gateway to the Asian market make it the ideal choice for Chick-fil-A’s first permanent restaurant in the region. We are grateful for the overwhelming support and positive response from Singaporeans so far and we look forward to serving them in 2025,” said Anita Costello, Chief International Officer at Chick-fil-A, Inc.

A Unique Franchise Model

Do you want to own a Chick-fil-A restaurant? The company is currently accepting applications for local franchises!

They're offering a unique franchise model that combines business opportunity and community impact. Applicants will only need to pay a minimal franchise fee and are not expected to invest a lot of capital as Chick-fil-A covers most of the startup costs. The franchisee will mostly cover rent, a base operating fee, and profit-sharing.

On top of this, they also get the opportunity to be part of the Chick-fil-A Shared Table™ food donation program, the brand’s initiative that shares surplus food with local nonprofit partners to help those in need.

“We are thrilled to introduce Chick-fil-A to Singapore, bringing new jobs and opportunities as we support the local community. Serving our Guests with high-quality food and signature hospitality remains our top priority as we do so,” said Hugh Park, Head of Asia Pacific Operations at Chick-fil-A (Asia) Pte Ltd. “Our unique approach, with locally owned and operated restaurants, will also allow us to better connect with people in Singapore as we provide an authentic Chick-fil-A experience.”

If you’re interested in becoming the first Chick-fil-A franchise owner and operator in Singapore, visit this page to send your application.
