Top 5 Visa-Free Asian Countries for Philippine Passport Holders
It’s common knowledge that free-spirited Filipinos have it rough when it comes to making travel plans. With a passport ranking lower than most of its Asian neighbors — #73, according to the Henley Passport Index report last July 2024 — Filipinos can’t just take their passport and go. We have to go through (more often than sometimes) grueling visa application processes to access clearance to some of the world’s best travel destinations such as Japan, the USA, and countries in the European region.
Now, that shouldn’t deter you from making your overseas travel dreams come true. As travel enthusiasts and globe trotters, we at The Beat Manila know how nerve-wracking traveling internationally for the first time can be, which is why we recommend checking off the countries closest to home first. Luckily, there are several Asian destinations that offer thrilling experiences and must-see attractions for every kind of traveler — minus the hassle of having to procure a visa.
Check out our top 5 visa-free destinations in Asia we think should be on your travel bucket list!
